Raffles Jakarta

We stayed here in early September as part of my birthday's staycation. The location is in Central Jakarta and is situated next to the Lotte Mall Jakarta. The parking spots were full when we were checking in around 4PM. We had to park in the mall area as a result. The walk was a little far. The check in process was quick and smooth. The concierge were attentive and helped me with keeping a package that was being sent to the property. As a Platinum Accor member, I redeemed my Suite Upgrade option to be upgraded to the Artist suite. The suite was spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed. The suite had living room with a sizeable working desk. The suite also came with daily replenishment of selected mini bar items. The bedroom was pretty large, with a nice bed and to die for pillows. The bathroom was huge, with a tub that overlooked the city, and also a wonderful shower. The bathroom also had a sizeable walk in closet area. The team was thoughtful enough putting birthday balloon on top of the working desk when we first came to the suite. Further, they also came to our room and sent me a small cake with candle. A thoughtful gesture from the hotel. But, the highlight for me was the quality of food that were served during breakfast as well as during dinner and afternoon tea at the Club lounge. Everything I thought were excellent. The variety of menus and the quality of ingredients were superb. Their croissant was heavenly. A brief mention of the pool. I thought it was adequately sized but was not too amusing to our liking. Overall, an excellent stay at Raffles Jakarta.

This was our first trip to Jakarta, as part of our 37th wedding anniversary celebration, and it a was made extremely memorable by the team at Raffles Jakarta. Even before we arrived the butler was in touch to help us make dinner reservations and tour arrangements. The pick up at the airport was seamless and the driver was very welcoming. At the hotel we were checked in, in our room, which has been upgraded to an amazing Gallery Suite, which was 1500 sq ft of pure luxury - possibly the best room we have ever had in the 40+ countries we have visited. During our stay the team referred to us by name whenever we saw them, which made us feel really at home, and helped us with every small thing we needed, nothing was too much trouble. Overall, I would say this was an outstanding experience from a customer service perspective and the staff were genuinely delighted to help. They were all so friendly and highly motivated and we really enjoyed all of our interactions. They made it feel like they were only there for you and they made our 37th wedding anniversary an extremely memorable one. Special mention should go to the butler and concierge teams, the front of house in the Raffles Club and our driver for our airport runs, as well as the laundry and house keeping teams that kept our room and clothes immaculate. Platinum member. I get upgraded to suite. Huge room. Nice welcome chocolates and fruits. Free beverages. I go down to the arts cafe for breakfast and ask for perrier sparkling water. They say its chargeable. I tell them I have platinum tier and I dont usually pay for sparkling water. They say they will call the lounge to bring a bottle down. 🤔 End up drinking Aqua sparkling water instead. Gym is ok. Spa has amazing ice fountain and this shower cubicle that has different spurts and squirts with random animal noises. I usually go steam room in the morning and night. I tell them the steam room is not working when i get there at 945pm. This guy say its automatic and I should get there by 930. Next day I get there at 8am and tell them it's not working. They say they will look into it. Steam room was not working for 2 or 3 days and they either didnt realise or failed to alert me. Food is very bougey. The beef quality is not great. The fish and chicken dishes were amazing. Breakfast takes at least 20 to 25 minutes to come out which is not great.
