The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta, Mega Kuningan

- Smooth check in & check out - Clean room with nice view - Good sleep with comfortable bed - Nice facilites (fitness ceter, pool, etc.) - Good breakfast with various Asian cuisine

I booked this hotel mainly because of Ritz Carlton reputation but figured very quickly that it falls short in many ways. It has a grand entry and then a very underwhelming and uninteresting lobby followed by boring, dated rooms. It doesn’t really look or feel Ritz Carlton. I stayed at Ritz Carlton Pacific Place in the past and felt that was much better. I booked a villa style room first but then asked to change to a normal suite as soon as I walked into the room. The villa style room looked nice in pictures but not so much in real and the interior space was extremely small though it has some additional exterior space. The service was excellent, consistent with most Ritz and also consistent with most luxury hotels in Jakarta. Considering the number of top branded hotels in Jakarta, it’s always hard to pick one but if I have to pick one of the Ritz it would be Pacific Place.

I have been staying at the Ritz-Carlton every year around the world. I think the hotel provides fewer services than other the RC but I felt that the hospitality was better than any other hotel, including the RC group. Thanks to the wonderful staff members, I was able to have a very fulfilling hotel life. At first, my planning was for one night, but I extended my stay. Because, I was impressed by the hospitality and flexibility, open- minded character by them. It's not in the culture of my country. It is a wonderful team with warm customer service and an open mind. I saw the hospitality and customer service of all of them, and I strongly felt that I have a lot to learn from them, and I got the opportunity to think and do so. I don't think it was just a hotel stay. Club manager Ms. Royana, Club staff Mr. Dzaky, Mr. Ara, Mr. Syahid Ms. Ira and Ms. Adelita, Mr. Iwan at Asia restaurant, thank you for always being kind to me. It was a stay where I couldn't thank you enough, and I would like to go back right now, and see you all again, haha I visited Southeast Asia for the first time. I couldn't go out for sightseeing because of the demonstration and mostly stayed at the hotel, but they made my stay more fulfilling. My choice of extending my stay was not a mistake. I was able to learn a lot at the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Mega Kuningan. I appreciate so much:)

Everything was excellent Great hotel, strategically located, the room is spacious and the bath room is really great, it’s really worth the price. The service I got at this hotel was extraordinary, im speechless:(( really love all the staff here, they are very friendly and warm, especially the staff in the Club Lounge are very nice:)) I’m so grateful for the amazing service and kindness shown to me. A special thank you to the head chef(Deri) and manager(Royana) for giving me unforgettable service while styed at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Mega Kuningan.

What stood out the most was the moment I stepped into the hotel, warmly greeted by the attending staff and brought to check in - all done professionally and cordially. Since I I was booked into a club room, I was offered to be checked in at the lounge to which I refused as much was done at the lobby already. Having said that, this wasn’t my first trip to RC Mega Kuningan and I immediately went to the lounge wanting to grab a bite before settling into work related matters later in the afternoon. Upon entry into the lounge, again I was warmly greeted and to my surprise, Royana who still remember me from my last stay came to greet me personally and said she still remember me! She ensured I was well and told me to get in touch with her should I need anything extra from the lounge - to which she’ll cater to her ability. Then Christian came to greet me - also told me he remembered me from my previous stay. However what I would like to share is my experience at the lounge. That Saturday, I asked Christian what would be served for lunch on Sunday to which he said that he’d take a peep at the menu. Apparently, I was told that the menu hadn’t been decides yet and then casually mentioned how I wish Mie Ayam would be made available in Sunday. To my surprise, my request was relayed to the chef who then prepared Mie Ayam for all club guests on Sunday!! Now that’s what I call impressive. Moments such as this make me return to RC Mega Kuningan. Truly, not just a hotel, but has become an arena where moments are cherished and friendships forged. Thank u again Royana, Christian and the entire club lounge members for making my stay one most memorable. And to Mr Moncalvo, the GM who’s been very kind to assist me since my previous stay, I just want to tell you that I’ve been spoiled rotten by your staff and because of that, I will be back soon ;-)
