The timeless alleyways of the Old City, the Western Wall and Tower of David, the bustling Machne Yehuda market, the Mamilla Avenue and an abundance of New City attractions are all within easy walking distance from this landmark hotel in Jerusalem. Originally designed by Moshe Safdie, winner of the AIA Gold Medal, the David Citadel's well-planned public spaces and 385 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites have recently received a facelift by renowned Italian designer Piero Lissoni who introduced the warm atmosphere of Jerusalem through natural lighting, traditional colors and rich artworks painted by David Roberts during his 1834 Grand Tour. Lissoni's vision included oak parquet flooring, abundant greenery, soft lights and textured fabrics in a palette of rich colors that welcome guests today.

I stayed at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem from May 29 to June 4, 2025. The room was dirty, the hotel smelled bad, and during check-out they tried to charge me $2,000 USD for services I never used. I only slept there, and when I complained, the staff was extremely rude. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

I’ve stayed at the David Citadel several times now, and every single time, the reason I keep coming back is Ilan, the concierge. He’s simply the best! No matter what we need — whether it’s last-minute dinner reservations, special arrangements, or just helpful advice — Ilan always goes above and beyond. He makes us feel like true VIPs, and it’s that level of care and attention that makes all the difference. Honestly, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Jerusalem. Thank you Ilan for making every visit so special!

We came for my sons bar mitzvah with our three kids. Everyone at the hotel was extremely accommodating and kind. We had a wonderful time and it was a very comfortable stay. Carol at the kids club was particularly fantastic! She takes so much joy in playing with the kids

This was our second stay at this hotel, and once again, our experience was nothing but perfect. Such an elegant hotel, clean and modern, and the lobby's signature scent is to die for. The exceptional staff is so welcoming and consistently makes you feel like a VIP. Check-in was a breeze, and we got to the room in no time. The room itself was spacious, elegant, and clean, and the view of the old city from the balcony was breathtaking. We enjoyed the endless delicious breakfast options, the cozy lounge for afternoon coffee, and light snacks. We were so sorry our stay ended, and we can't wait to stay there again. Thank you, David Citadel staff, for another memorable stay

Our experience at the David Citadel was exemplary as always. The comfort and service we have come to expect... We specifically appreciated the gracious treatment we received from Munir Salman Front Desk Manager, along with representative Asal. Their warm service was extraordinary.
