DISCLAIMER: We did not actually stay here, so I cannot comment on the general hotel experience. We came here to eat at the annual winter soup festival, so that is what I can speak to. When we heard about the Inbal Winter Soup Festival, we had to drop everything to fit it into our schedule. Get to eat at a fancy hotel like the Inbal? Unlimited, all-you-can-eat soup and artisan bread created by trained chefs? All for only $30 per person? Sign me up!! Looking back, the experience was definitely excellent and a must-do if you are around the area, but I felt it did not fully live up to the hype. First of all, I will say that the ambiance was excellent: everything was set up very fancy with plenty of wait staff and excellent service. It really was a great experience. The soups themselves were very tasty, but not exactly mind blowing. Still, they were excellent and well with the price of admission. We learned afterward that the breads were not made on premises, but they were still very excellent. There were a few things, however, that left me a little disappointed. First of all, none of the wait staff spoke English. Normally this would not bother me in a foreign country, but you would think that a fancy place like the Inbal which caters to mostly tourists would have more staff that speak English. Second is that the staff were surprisingly unconcerned about allergies. Someone in our party has a severe tree nut allergy, which I made sure to indicate on the reservation. When we arrived, the hostess told us that she had no idea which soups contained nuts and that we should ask the chef. The chef told us that one soup might have peanuts in it, but he is not sure. Another waiter told us that a different soup may have cashews, but he is also not sure. Nobody would give us a straight answer, and so we had to avoid some soups out of sheer ignorance, which was somewhat disappointing. All in all, the soup festival is well worth it for $30 per person and an excellent way to spend a winter evening. Enjoy!

I had never stayed at the Inbal before, and didn't know quite what to expect. It was an excellent stay. A very nice room, a pleasant lounge, a good work space (this was a business trip), a fine breakfast. Even a more-than-functional gym. I also really liked the location, on the edge of Talbiye. I walked all over the place, through beautiful streets. More than any of those things, the staff (especially Yaniv) were helpful, pleasant, and professional. Oh, and they have a special soup buffet in the afternoons!

What a wonderful location, staff, cleanliness and attention to detail. It will be a true gift, to have my travel group return here for a future stay. Only slight hickup, was a meal purchased on my card with friends, also ended up on my room charges. It was quickly remedied with a momentary stop at the front desk.

Very exemplary staff. Extremely nice hotel with excellent food. Room was quite clean and had a great mirpeset (porch).
