Reviews for The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka'anapali

$$$$$

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Just to be clear, for the list price, you get a room with crappy coffee, shoddy housekeeping, access to a water and ice machine, two ‘free’ drinks, some shells on a string, and for the privilege of advertising the hotel (water bottles). THAT’S IT! You pay for everything else: You pay $45/d for the privilege of using the pool (what else is the resort fee for?). You pay $45/night for parking. There’s fees for the spa and all the restaurants. It’s on a PUBLIC beach -which was the stage for a demonstration while we were there - so you don’t even get privacy on the beach. Others may give positive reviews, which reflects that they had a nice time in Hawai’i, but have they really considered what it cost them? For me, the total bill just for accommodation and parking was $1000/night. Shocking!

Family friendly, great for the kids, great location, highly recommended

Our five and seven-year-olds loved the kiddie pools, shave ice, very close location to Whalers Village. Service was great. Gym was great as well. The welcome team went above & beyond for us. The animals and surroundings were so picturesque

Excellent hotel with great service and people. The amenities were nive as well as the rooms. We stayed at the Hokupa‘a which was very nice. The lounge was exquisite and nicely designed with multiple areas to relax. The pools were great and also the nighttime entertainment.

Best hotel in kaanapili

This hotel is the best! We try to do a trip every year and one thing we always look forward to is the Maui gold pineapple man who sells his pineapples in the hotel lobby and hands out samples, his pineapples are the best I’ve ever had!! It’s been the same guy selling pineapples since my husband was a kid and used to come here with his family and every year we get a picture with the pineapple man and buy some pineapples! One bummer this year was that the hotel bar-restaurant stopped selling hula pie! We loved sitting at the restaurant with the live music and having our favorite dessert there last year, hoping they will bring back the hula pie!

Awesome Resort!!

This resort is located on a beautiful stretch of beach. We did not encounter lava rock on the beach or in the water. There are also enough pools for everyone with plenty of lounge chairs. The restaurants on site are a little pricey but Whaler's Village is right next door with other options. The rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. Any employee we interacted with was pleasant and went out of their way to help. We will definitely be back.
