The lobby was freezing cold the entire time, unfortunately we had to spend at least 20 minutes waiting on breakfast (not a pleasant customer service experience) and then even longer checking out because they got our car mixed up and it was in the wrong garage. We would have spent some time in the lobby having a drink before we went out Saturday evening, as we have before, but it was far too cold, such a shame because it is a beautiful space. The breakfast was also disappointing and went half uneaten after quite a wait. The ice machines were either not working or empty as we visited every floor with an ice machine to try and get ice. We have stayed here a couple of times before but are not likely to again. On a positive note, the young man at the front desk was very courteous and helpful (remembered him from before) and is an asset to this location. I have been a WOH member for many years, both at the Explorist and Globalist level and this was a disappointing use of my GOH award.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Extremely clean. Fabulous amenities and lobby bar and market (breakfast). TOP NOTCH SERVICE from the bar to front desk to valet. Close to street car, great restaurants, and the theater/convention center. PERFECT

Wonderful experience at Hotel KC. As a Globalist, I was upgraded to a suite. The suite was extremely clean. I appreciated the extra coffee in the room. I asked for a few things via text message; The front desk made sure it was there almost within minutes. Breakfast at the little lobby "Starbucks-like" establishment was good. There was not a ton of selection, but I chose like a ready to go side and a cooked breakfast item. The breakfast sandwich is extremely tasty and the ice mocha was good too. I noticed interactions with all of staff very friendly. I cannot wait to go back!

We looked for a reasonably-priced hotel in the convention center area. The room was spacious and comfortable, and it had refrigerator (bar items for purchase, but there was room for our own stuff), coffee maker, and hair dryer. We had a view of other buildings that were far enough away to be able to see some things--lately it seems I find myself looking out if a hotel window to see a wall. The bedroom trash bin had a separate space for recycling. We ate dinner at the bar after getting in late, and it was good. We asked the morning desk clerk for suggestions for coffeeshops, and he drew locations on a map for us. The ones that we checked out were good--I will go there again when I return to KC for a conference in a month.

My wife and I stayed here for a quick weekend city break since I had a World of Hyatt certificate and this is consistently rated the best Category 4 property in the country. It did not disappoint: Hotel Kansas City seamlessly mixes a historical and charming lobby with perfectly-renovated rooms that both greatly exceeded our expectations. Perfectly appointed bathrooms, a courteous staff, and two cocktail spaces (the Classic lobby bar and Nighthawk basement cocktail/entertainment club) were all highlights. Another fantastic Unbound Collection that I would highly, highly recommend!
