Paradise
The Banyan Tree was a small part of our recent South East Asia tour but it has left a lasting impression and was certainly one of the highlights. It has the villas and seclusion of the Maldives combined with the rugged and mountainous terrain of Hawaii. Just stunning! The service was top-notch, food outstanding and the pool villa was stunning - very large and luxurious with pretty much anything you could want from the bathtub overlooking the rainforest, the yoga mats, the various bug repellents, the essential oils and incense. Being really picky, there were one or two items in the villa that could do with being replaced due to damp/mould growth including the huge light shade in the lounge area and the blinds at the villa pavillion. As ALL Accor members it’s also slightly disappointing that this property opts out of the scheme meaning no reward or status points. We’ll definitely return for another short stay but also want to try the Banyan Tree Phuket (which is part of the Accor programme).
