The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur

I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur many years ago and returned on this trip with fond memories. I'm pleased to say the hotel has aged extremely well and remains beautifully maintained. The location is excellent, with Pavilion Mall, Bukit Bintang and the newer TRX Mall all within walking distance. The design is timeless and elegant, featuring a luxurious white theme with black trimmings. Staff were consistently polite and friendly throughout my stay. The room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable, with a walk-in wardrobe and plenty of storage. The bed was excellent with fresh, clean bedsheets, and the bathroom was beautifully designed with quality branded toiletries. This remains my favourite hotel in Malaysia, offering comfort, elegance and a level of consistency that keeps me coming back.

In this regard, I would like to sincerely commend the Club Lounge team, and in particular the Head of the Club Lounge, whose professionalism, warmth, and leadership were truly exemplary. The level of care, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality demonstrated in the Club Lounge fully reflected the standards associated with The Ritz-Carlton name. This part of the experience was outstanding and deserves special recognition. At the same time, I must be honest that my interaction with the Duty Manager on shift was the only aspect of the stay that felt noticeably misaligned with Ritz-Carlton service values. While communication was polite, the approach felt procedural rather than guest-centric, lacking flexibility and a sense of ownership over the situation. For a guest accustomed to premium-level service, this contrast was quite apparent. I want to emphasize that my overall impression of the hotel is shaped far more by the many positive interactions than by this single shortcoming. My intention in sharing this feedback is not criticism, but clarity — and recognition where it is truly due. Thank you again for your attention and for the efforts made by your team. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Christmas & New Year Holiday at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur It was the end-of-year holiday 2025, and this year we decided to come to Malaysia — a beautiful country with wonderful people. Choosing The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur was the best decision we could have made for our vacation. We arrived on Christmas Eve, and from the very beginning, everything was absolutely fantastic. Our check-in experience was seamless thanks to Julia, a lovely young Malaysian lady at reception. She made the process completely effortless and welcomed us with genuine warmth. She arranged a two-bedroom suite on the 20th floor, offering a stunning city view, which truly set the tone for our stay room 2022 was amazing. The room service is impeccable, with housekeeping twice a day, keeping the suite fresh and perfectly maintained every time we stepped out and returned — a detail that makes a huge difference during a long stay. Breakfast here is on another level entirely. A special thank you goes to Maksud, who works in the breakfast hall. He was exceptionally attentive, not only to our table but to everyone around. He made sure we had everything we needed and did so with genuine care and professionalism. It’s truly wonderful to see people who love what they do and make guests feel so valued. Every single member of The Ritz-Carlton team we’ve encountered has been outstanding — warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. We are staying for a few more days before leaving, and I honestly look forward to each day here. The swimming pool area is absolutely amazing, and the upstairs area with the restaurant offers a great atmosphere along with delicious food. Thank you to the entire Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur team for making our holiday so special — this stay will be remembered for a very long time.

This is not reflective of the Ritz brand. No where near the level of service and plushness of their sister hotel in Langkawi. Beds were very uncomfortable and old, a mattress topper was provided on request but it did not come close to the level of comfort experienced in other Ritz hotels. The linen is scratchy and the towels thread bare. The layout of the hotel is awkward so if you have a stroller or mobility needs consider the need for use of an escalator. Breakfast was nothing special. Check in was impersonal and cold and requests for a Ritz tent for my little one had to be followed up multiple times. The kids club contains broken resources and nothing for children to do. On a positive note the location of the hotel is excellent. The cost of the hotel is significantly cheaper than other Ritz Carlton's so I didn't feel too ripped off. However, do not book this hotel with Ritz expectations.

Amazing stay. We were a family of 5 and we took the 3 bedroom suit. It was amazing. The level of service Ritz Carlton hotels offer are exceptional. The location was great. Just a few minutes walk to the pavilion mall.
