I attended an international conference at The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur today, January 24th, 2026, where I was honored as an awardee. The conference itself was exceptionally well- organized and lived up to the standards expected of a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by an unpleasant incident afterward. While waiting at the lobby lounge for friends to join me for high tea, I was enjoying the calming harp music when I received a call from my son. I was on the phone for no more than a few seconds when a manager or supervisor intervened — not with courtesy, but in a rude and abrupt manner, instructing me to keep my voice down. The interaction was so poorly handled that nearby guests noticed and assumed there was some sort of disturbance. A few even asked if everything was alright. When I explained that the manager had overreacted, they were understanding and reassured me that there was no issue at all. Approaching guests with basic courtesy and discretion is fundamental in the hospitality industry, especially at a property of this calibre. Unfortunately, the manager’s behaviour reflected poorly on the Ritz-Carlton brand. Rudeness is unacceptable in any profession, and even more so in hospitality. What should have been a memorable and positive day ended on a disappointing note.

My family and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton last week in rooms 1702 and 1703. It was simply an amazing stay. As one guest has correctly written - Go For It.... Book your room and do not be in any doubt whatsoever. I totally endorse this view. Many other reviewers have written about the well appointed and spotlessly clean rooms, the cuisine, the exquisite, classy decor, its prime location and proximity to great shopping experiences which are all extremely important points to consider when selecting a hotel. However, in this review, I would like to highlight the MOST IMPORTANT feature of Ritz Carlton which is the very warm hospitality shown by each and every member of this fine hotel. I can only remember a few names like Mr. Bahar at the Club Lounge, Ms.Min who checked us in, Mr. Ratan at the entrance not to forget the very efficient and meticulous Md. Husnain in housekeeping. I mention only a few names simply because I cannot remember each and every member engaged in looking after the guests so cordially. There was no lack of warm smiles, cheerful greetings or thoughtfulness and consideration for a disabled person like me. I found this helpfulness and concern consistent and truly admirable. What a high level of hospitality! We were delighted to hear the evening jazz program in the lobby. The enthusiastic and accomplished musicians played from their hearts and gifted us memorable evening entertainment. In our varied travel experience we have never felt so welcomed, so appreciated and so pampered. For this, my family and I thank all members of Team Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur for the wonderful stay and hope to return soon.

This has got to be the best hotel in Kuala lumper if not the whole of Malaysia! Rooms were HUGE! incredible service, breakfast and pool! Just book it now, you wont regret it.

A very welcoming stay. While some areas are a little tired, the service is excellent and really makes the difference. Bahar in the Club Lounge looked after us wonderfully, as did all the team members we encountered. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows. Our only minor suggestion would be the addition of hand towels in the club lounge bathroom.

We had a very nice stay at the Ritz for 6 nights. The location of property is excellent, just opposite the Pavillon MALL, Jalan Alor street food, and public transportation. We finally had a Junior Suite connected to a deluxe twin bed room after the front manager, Mr. Bing Jie, supported our room change. Mr. Bing Jie was very friendly, kind and supportive and the Ritz has to be proud of such client oriented management team. A big shout out also to the Restaurant Manager (apologies as I forgothis name) who mde our breakfasts so enjoyable. In fact all staff was very professional and always helping with a smile. The 4 stars are a result of comparing this property with other Ritz properties, but the staff and services provided are superb and better than 5 stars. We definitely recommend this hotel and we will be back !
