great hotel , staff were exceptional , everything was perfect , nothing was too much trouble , staff genuenly wanted to please

The hotel was a little disappointing as they position themselves as a five star hotel (both in star rating and price), but in reality they are a solid four star property with the rooms feeling very tired. The location is residential so be mindful you are not going to be around a lot of restaurants, although handy to walk to Sanjusangendo Temple, and while the location is residential it does have a peaceful, authentic feel. The staff were consistently attentive and kind. The bar downstairs (Touzan) was quite cool and made fantastic cocktails.

Hotel is located in a great area with everything we wanted within walking distance. Hotel staff were excellent, room was nice and the restaurants were great.

This hotel is average on every level, tired and dated. Staff are pleasant but there is no crispness or anything above average. The noise from the demolition next door is tiresome. I would avoid and choose somewhere more interesting closer to the centre of town.

This is a nice hotel from photos but needs a facelift in several places. Our room had a lot of stains on the white carpet…impossible for housekeeping to miss. The rooms are a little dated as well. However the staff are incredibly kind and eager to serve, rushing out to open taxi doors and get taxis for you. Wonderful staff, but rooms need some work.
