This was the third time we have been to this special place…. It just gets better with time! So many activities to do but the highlight was the surfing and snorkeling. So many turtles outside our room on Jetty A. Amazing to see more each time we come to Laamu. All the staff are exceptional and make you feel at home. So many of the staff are the same from when we first went 10 ish years ago, which is a true testament to Management. This time we were looked after by GEM Bruce. Bruce made the experience even more special this time with his friendly nature, he takes the time to get to know your interests and genuine care for his guests. We can’t wait to book to return and we won’t leave it so long next time.

The Maldives certainly offer a wide variety of resorts, but we were particularly taken with the SIX SENSES Resort on Laamu. We usually stick to our rule of not repeating holidays in the same place, but we couldn't resist returning to Laamu. We stayed at the SIX SENSES Resort on Laamu from 10 to 19 June 2025. It was the third time we had holidayed there. For us, everything there is just right. Starting with the very friendly SIX SENSES team, who made every minute of our stay an experience. And they did so without being intrusive. But the resort's unique ambience also captivated us right from the start. This paradisiacal feeling begins with a personal welcome on arrival and ends with a personal farewell when leaving the resort. And in between, we experienced moments of happiness every day. We felt very comfortable in our accommodation, a Sunset Laamu Water Villa. As on our previous stays, the food was first class. The team led by the new head chef Alberto Adamo spoiled us with different specialities every day. This began each morning with a very varied breakfast and ended with a high-class menu in one of the three restaurants on Laamu. A highlight for us was certainly the lobster dinner on the beach. As enthusiastic divers, we went diving with the diving team practically every day at the most beautiful dive sites within the atoll or at one of the three channels leading from the atoll to the open sea. We always felt safe and our dive guide knew how to show us many details underwater that you don't normally discover. Back on Laamu, we enjoyed the sunny spot on the terrace of our water villa. In the late afternoon, we went to the spa, which offered high-quality treatments by staff from Thailand and one employee from India. New to us was the Laamu Sea Centre for Environmental Education (SHELL), which was built in a prominent location on Laamu. It provides a comprehensive overview of the history of the Maldives and its flora and fauna on land and in the water. A special feature is a research station where corals are cultivated that can cope with high water temperatures above 30°C. We were in the Maldives in mid-June, the weather was very stable during our stay. The sun usually did shine during the day and the few showers occurred at night. Apparently, due to climate change, the rainy season is occurring later and is becoming less intense. Conclusion: It will be difficult for us not to come back a fourth time.

The property was stunning and the service was top notch! We were assigned to Vienne as our GEM (guest experience maker) and she went above and beyond every day to make sure we had an incredible time on the island. 11/10 would recommend.
