Reviews for Six Senses Laamu

Lammu - more than a holiday.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 14 hours ago

October 2026 was our third visit to Six Senses Laamu with out two children (4 and 8 years). We have always had the most incredible holidays, but this year was different, it was better than ever. Seeing the island come to life for our four year old daughter was extremely special. She learnt to snorkel, her swimming confidence exploded and she enjoyed The Den so much, the activities are absolutely charming. For our eight year old son, surfing with Tropic Surf was a massive hit (he's really progressed in the three visits we have made) and his marine biology knowledge is extremely impressive - a passion that has been harnessed through his Junior Marine Biology classes at the SHELL. As ever, the food on the island was a real treat, from the most incredible creative pancakes at breakfast, minced thai chicken salad and coconut ceviche at Sip Sip for lunch and a whole host of deliciousness to choose from in the evenings. Eko made such a fuss of the children at the teppanyaki, the food was amazing and the experience was heaps of fun - we went twice. The buffet evenings are exceptional, so fresh, food cooked in front of your eyes and the range is enormous. Chill Bar is always a favourite and a wobble across the rope bridge to Leaf always sets you up for a wonderful evening dining in the treetop restaurant. The range of activities are fantastic, guided snorkelling with the SHELL, sound baths, breath work, aerial yoga, watercolour painting, scuba diving, paddle boarding, tow rides, the list goes on, there really is something for everyone - it's your choice, you can relax as hard as you like. My husband took his wing foiling kit to the island and had some awesome sessions blasting around the atoll. There is kit at the Watersports Centre, but if you're super keen, it's worth bringing your own kit because the conditions are awesome. The thing that Six Senses do so well, is the 'nothing is too much trouble' approach of your GEM. Our GEM, Soba feels like a member of our family, we love him to pieces not only because there is nothing he can't arrange to make your holiday extra extra special, but he really really cares. He is adored by our children and we know that the feeling is mutual! Soba arranged and joined us on a private charter turtle safari boat trip and made sure that everyone was relaxed and cared for, it was so much fun to have him with us. While we were on the island, we extended our holiday and Soba made all the new arrangements for us absolutely seamless. Soba is so happy, so open to talk to us about his life at a local Maldivian man, so cheerful, always responsive to our requests, we couldn't ask for more, we loved all of our interactions with him. Soba has helped to take our holiday from fantastic to exceptional for three years....and we can't wait to see him in October 2026. Laamu is special, it's different. It's rustic, authentic and charming. The environment and conservation are at the heart of the entire offering. Laamu is a place that gets under your skin and into your heart, it's so much more than a holiday.

Six Senses Faudi…..

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

Six Senses Laamu is not only the most beautiful destination I have ever visited, it’s beauty is surpassed by the customer service on the island. In a laid back, barefoot vibe where everything runs like clockwork, you soon realise that there is a dedicated team making it look easy, when, I’m sure, it’s extremely hard work. Our Guest Experience Manager, Faudi, was a very good example. Nothing was too much trouble, he made our lives so easy and all done with a smile on his face. Six Senses Laamu we will miss you more than I can say, but Faudi, we will miss you even more

Our favourite Maldivian escape

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We recently returned from another wonderful stay at this beautiful resort. And once again were impressed not only by the range of activities it offers, but by the stunning surroundings and warmth, professionalism and genuine kindness of the entire team. Our deepest appreciation to our GEM Riq. His dedication, care and understanding made our stay perfect once again. I would like to thank F&B Director Noah for his thoughtful attention and dedication to each guest, Chef Alberto for the tasty and beautifully crafted dishes, Iko for his excellent cooking and warm personality, Havarey for his creativity and caring approach. Our thanks also go to Muhee and Areeba for their excellent service. Special mention to our houskeeper Samaah for keeping our villa spotless every day. This resort truly feels like our little paradise and we look to returning next year.
