Thanks Julia!!

I had the pleasure to work with Julia Ippolito, the Director of Events. She took care of myself, my wife and our two boys. She is a professional and very careful to details. The facility is very nice for a family that needs a couple of days away from the crazy city life. The place is clean and staff is pleasant, rooms are clean and welcoming. There is plenty of things to do with your family!!!

Exceptional Hotel and Bar Staff

I was just attending a convention that was held at the Grand Geneva and I have to say that the overall experience was exceptional, the amenities, concierge, valet, shuttle service on the resort grounds, etc…! But, I have to give extra attention to the bar and wait staff in the beautiful main lobby who went above and beyond! Incredibly professional, personal, pleasant and fast, especially with the overwhelming amount of people to service over the 4 days! I would be remiss to not mention by name the bartender Donald who was an absolute pro! I’ve travelled to many locations throughout the world and he is easily one of the best! Again, thank you to all of the staff. You deserve praise for your service. It’s been a pleasure!

Top Notch Hospitality

My husband and I visited Grand Geneva for our anniversary and it was more than we could have asked for. Upon arrival, Nicholas and Sandra at the front desk were welcoming and helpful. When we got to our room I was impressed by how homey it felt and how immaculately clean it was. We spent our afternoon at the Geneva Club playing games by the fireplace and playing pickle ball in the fitness center. The highlight of the night was dinner at Chophouse. Zach was friendly and Darlene’s provided amazing service to accompany the delicious dinner. We ended our stay back at the fitness center doing some rock climbing with Benj, he was a wonderful guide. The food, accommodations and experiences were all spectacular but what was most impressive was that it felt as though every person mentioned in this review genuinely cared about our stay and experience. That kind of care is rare but at Grand Geneva they’ve hit a gold mine of amazing people ready to take care of you.

Not the trip we were expecting …

After staying at Grand Geneva for NYE weekend, here is an overall review of the experience at the resort. After booking our stay at Grand Geneva, we reached out to the hotel to see if reservations were needed for the family NYE party and buffet. Reservations were not available online, and we were told they were not needed as resort guests. The day before arriving at the resort, we discovered that every advertised winter activity at the resort was not available. After showing my kids the video of ice skaters and sledding that is blasted all over social media, none of these things are actually available. Not to mention the NYE party was “sold out” upon our arrival leaving us with no plans or dinner reservations on NYE. I attempted to cancel our hotel reservations in response, and was told this was not an option without a full pay penalty. The renovation of the hotel is very nice looking on the surface level, however the quality of the beds, comfort, towels, room service and toiletries are all lacking at this price point. On day 2, we requested room service and a garage bag of towels were left at our door. The hallway was littered with empty bottles, dirty q-tips, and dirty baby diapers. After our last hotel stay on the Magnificent Mile at a similar price point this was all but shocking. I will say our children enjoyed the waterpark that we elected to pay additional for after all other activities were unavailable. Lastly, we dined on site 1 time at the Cafe. The waitress was great, but we waited 57 minutes for our food which consisted of a cold BLT and 2 kids meals (a burnt corn dog and chicken nuggets).

Perfect getaway!!

Went the day after Christmas with all our 3 children, their spouses and our 8 grandchildren! Such a beautiful setting, so much to do! The decorations all over hotel were amazing!! Great restaurants, shuttle to take you wherever you wanted on property. Plenty of great spots to gather with our group and chill. Wonderful, helpful staff who all worked hard at a busy season!
