About the Hotel

A bit disappointing stay
Our stay at Burgenstock started very positive, with very friendly staff at the reception and room services. The lakeview room is spotless with amazing views though the room has some special smell (not odor) that is a bit irritating to smell sensitive kids. The hotel offered to switch a room for us, which helped a bit. Another highlight was the spa treatment. The lady who provided us with the walkthrough was knowledgeable and proud, which impressed us. The spa facilities were well maintained and high-caliber with panoramic views. However something unpleasant occurred when we were having breakfast on the day of departure. It was raining so some of guests need to be moved from Spices to the lobby area for breakfast, but the breakfast area on the lobby was apparently understaffed. I asked for another cup to enjoy the tea, but 10 minutes passed with no cup being provided. My son stood beside a slushy machine and tried to get slushy. One of the waitresses stormed at my son, shouting at him “stop this is not for breakfast” but there was no sign in place that indicated so for anyone. The lid for the congee pot was heavy and hot but there was no sign indicating “caution the lid is hot and heavy”. That is definitely not something we would expect from a five-star resort. What a pity - it was supposed to be a pleasant and relaxing experience for the whole stay there.

Wow! What a beautiful property and room. Beautiful country scenery from our room balcony with beautiful green rolling hills and then stunning Lake Lucerne on the other side. This property was top notch. Beautiful rooms, property, and views. Wonderful food. We wish we could have stayed longer. Truly a treat!

Perfect relaxation in Luxury Resort Bürgenstock in the midst of beautiful Swiss nature
Wonderful luxury hotel in the beautiful Swiss nature and amazing Spa. The location is unique - on the top of the hill and the view to the lake or to the mountains is breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Boat shuttle and funicular is wonderful start and ending of the experience.
