The hotel and food are good... better than others that aren't as expensive...not really. The elevator system sucks! You would wait forever and when they did show up they would be to full to get on! Especially during peek times. It's time to upgrade your system to smart elevators so they can handle your traffic better.

Sadly since MGM took over the Cosmopolitan the place has gone to the dogs! The casino floor is terrible so many machines don’t work or recognise your plates card and when I had to call the attendant by waiting till one walked past as the call buttons were broken which I waited 20 minutes to catch one and very miserable and unhelpful. The validation machines are very sparse and the one I tried to use was broken. The Wicked Spoon buffet must be the worst one I’ve ever been to and didn’t think any could be worse than the Excalibur but this one is very expensive for the quality of food and service. Trouble with everyone that goes to Vegas or works there ,just don’t listen and only hear there own voice!

I’ve been coming to Las Vegas for years and had always dreamed of staying at The Cosmopolitan — especially in one of their Fountainview Suites. I finally booked it for my birthday celebration, expecting a memorable, luxury experience. Unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. At check-in, we were told by the front desk agent (Brandon) that our room would be on the 52nd floor, which I was excited about. But just as our keys were being made, we were informed of a “system glitch” and reassigned to the 38th floor. This might not seem like a big deal, except that our friends were placed on the 52nd — a completely separate elevator bank. Because of keycard restrictions, we had to go all the way down to the lobby just to see each other. A real inconvenience that added unnecessary frustration to what should have been a relaxing and celebratory weekend. Worse, the elevators were a mess. Each day between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., wait times were consistently 20–30 minutes just to reach the lobby. On checkout day, this even caused enough anxiety that we had to skip checking out in person altogether. The room itself was also a letdown. Water pressure was barely functional, and regulating the temperature was nearly impossible — either freezing cold or scalding hot. I’ve stayed in far less expensive hotels in Vegas with better functionality. For over $600 a night, I expected far more. I reported all of this to the front desk, and was told a guest services manager would follow up. No one ever did. (I’ve even attached screenshots of my text exchange with guest services after calling them directly.) This was a milestone trip I had truly looked forward to — and sadly, I walked away feeling disappointed and ignored. I hope MGM and The Cosmopolitan take this feedback seriously and consider what kind of experience they’re truly offering guests at this price point.

Overall, great location and restaurant/food options. You can walk indoors to Bellagio, Aria, Vdara and Park MGM to beat the heat. The room was clean, but the veranda furniture the confusing lighting controls and the bathroom fixtures were showing their age. Check-in experience wasn’t great. Stood in a line for 20 minutes to pre-check in, was told room would be available by 3pm (their standard check-in time). Finally got notified at 4pm that our room was ready, then had to stand in line again for another 30 minutes (in a different line dedicated for picking up keys). Check out was easy (online), but the elevator wait to get down to the lobby from the 56th floor was 45 MINUTES. Our group of 4 had to finally split up and take separate elevators just to make it down to the lobby (and one person in our group opted to just walk down 56 stories, som e it would be faster). The pools were nice (nothing spectacular), but very few chairs available in the shade, unless you paid to reserve. The pool in our tower was also unexpectedly closed at least one day during our visit. Wi-Fi wasn’t great, especially given the additional daily “resort fee” that was charged.

We have been to Vegas quite a few times and the Cosmo is our go to spot. The big draw for us is the balconies. It is so nice to be able to sit out and enjoy the weather and the view. We stayed for a week in May 2025 for my Birthday. We had some issues at check in. I had splurged for a Fountain View Terrace One Bedroom Suite. When we arrived, we were told that due to the time of day the rooms they had left were on the 15th floor so they were going to try to get us on a higher floor. We were given a room on the 31st floor. When we arrived to our room it was facing the strip. We had no view of the fountain. Additionally the tv, phone, and internet were not working in the room. We went back down the the desk and were moved to a Fountain View Terrace Suite room on the 42nd Floor. The room was great. The view was insane. We had no other issues during our stay.
