TL;DR: FONTAINEBLUEAU has potential, and the public areas are impressive. BUT it's low-class and disappointing. Wanna-Be. HOWEVER, I really want you to stay here because then you will help free up occupancy at the good places we like to go to normally :) We (couple) go to Vegas an average of 1/month for 15 years now, almost all high-end casinos (we have our favorites). This is the first time we stayed at FONTAINEBLUEAU (4 days), and we will not be back. FONTAINEBLEAU disappoints. -- Public areas are impressive. Shiny and huge. But!... -- Rooms are very subpar. -- Weird super disgusting grease (KY?) smeared in blobs on the window. Very obvious. -- Room window in general super dirty (from the inside). -- Huge nest of long black hair inside the shower. Yuck. -- Sinks have super water-savers, almost non-functional (drip drip drip) -- Very heavy (50 lbs+) rock room table not secured to tiny wooden foundation -- dangerous. -- Check out on TV did not work. -- Check out on email did not work. -- Half the number of towels of other casinos on the strip. -- Tiny individual shampoo pouches (reminds me of Motel 6, etc.). Smells disgusting (opinion). -- Tiny hard white soap for the sinks -- low quality and literally as bad as Motel-6 quality. -- Lamp in room did not work, and no access to plug to fix it. -- Window black-out shades/curtains close randomly during our entire 4-day stay. -- Housekeeping staff has very loud conversations for 45+ minutes daily outside the room door!... disruptive and insensitive. -- Concierge gave us completely wrong information regarding picking up our concert tickets. -- Location (not factored into my low review) is abysmal. -- casino drinks were the worst I've had from anywhere in Vegas (including lowest-end places).

I had a wonderful time at my stay at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. My work convention was in the hotel and systematically, it was well organized. Our rooms were spacious. Service was top notch. The restaurants in the hotel never want to make you leave. I really love this hotel and would definitely go back to stay or stay at another location. Thank you for a stress-free stay.

From check in to check out, everything was great. Ashley at the front desk was very sweet and welcoming. Our favorite bartenders are now Javier & Alex at the pool bar. They made our afternoon so much funner. Cant wait to go back!

Personally I didn't experience some of the negative comments around the piped scent (more to follow on that one) or the poor hygiene standards. The standards were immaculate in every area we experienced always people cleaning, housekeeping standards were excellent. The only issues I found was the smell of cigars around the casino area and the bleau bar in the centre of the ground floor (not a massive problem just when walking past a cigar smoker which may explain the comment/review about the overpowering piped scent, rather have that than disgusting cigars IMO). The drinks and food were expensive in the hotel however this is Vegas so kind of accept it but no more expensive than Dubai for example. The food we had was of excellent quality. Location was perfect in the slightly quieter north end of the strip, however only a 15min walk to the Strat or the Dueuce bus which goes up and down the strip for $16 a 24 hr pass stops outside north and south, its a 20 min ride up to Freemont Street or a 25 min ride down to the Las Vegas sign. Overall this hotel was fantastic and would highly recommend it, if in Vegas again we would definitely stop here.

I want to leave a warning for anyone with allergies, asthma, mast-cell issues, or even mild chemical sensitivity: the scent diffusers at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas are overwhelming. The fragrance is so thick you could cut it with a knife—you can literally taste it. The smell is strong enough that you notice it 30 feet outside the property, and once inside it is intense enough to make people with even moderate sensitivities genuinely sick. For context, I do not live in a bubble and would describe my sensitivity level as somewhere between mild and moderate. I’m not opposed to signature scents at hotels either. In fact, if I could bottle whatever Wynn and Encore use, I’d run it in my own home. But staying and walking through Fontainebleau felt like spending 24 straight hours inside an Uber with the cheapest gas-station air fresheners hanging from every surface. The scent is so heavy it affects the taste of your food in the restaurants. I eventually learned to breathe through my mouth while covering my face with my shirt every time I left my room. My first day in Vegas was ruined before I even realized what was happening—just 30 minutes on the property triggered a pounding headache, itching of my scalp and back, and complete nasal congestion. When I called home to say I’d arrived safely, my boyfriend immediately said, “You sound awful,” without knowing I was having a full reaction. If you have any kind of fragrance sensitivity, I strongly recommend avoiding this property. For those without sensitivities, the hotel itself is lovely. The price was reasonable, the service excellent, and the rooms are comfortable. I was a bit disappointed that the developers didn’t take the opportunity to surpass Wynn and Encore in design and build quality (particularly with regard to the uninspired common areas) but perhaps there is only one Steve Wynn and one Roger Thomas. If those spectacular properties were not next-door for comparison purposes, or if this were a large convention hotel and casino anywhere else, it would easily set a standard for quality and design. I have two more nights here covering my face, breathing through my mouth, dousing myself in antihistamines and avoiding common areas because it is a prepaid reservation through a third-party vendor. Wish me luck!
