Gave this hotel 4 stars last October but now think it deserves five. It is spotless and the cleaners should be marked out as doing a great job. 99% of the staff have a fantastic attitude, with so many you will always find one who looks like they would rather be anywhere else. It was noticeably busier. The pool area had much better music in the mornings. Anyone looking hard enough will find fault, this is a huge hotel, but they will have to look very hard and perhaps wanting to. The management do a great job. The restaurants are pricy but no more than others on the strip. The casino is top notch. The only draw back is, if a non resident and you hit a jackpot they will not do the paper work and withhold 30% of your payout, a crazy tax system and leading to expense and time for the player to sort out. Certainly up there in the top three hotels on the strip. Where one places it depends on what is most important. The position may be a disadvantage if looking for the huge crowds. However to some that is an advantage.

Disappointed with crusty room and customer service. I checked into room 10:30pm in the evening and the ceiling above the bed was peeling, damaged by someone who had taped decorations to the ceiling (Ill post pictures). I called down to desk to let them know, and instead of offering me a different room, they offered to send up maintenance guy the next day to "fix it". Im staying here for a 3 day conference. The view was great of the pool BUT I did not know it also faced LIV nightclub. At 12am, the music started thumping in that nightclub and I can't sleep because it is so loud in my room. Called the front desk AGAIN and instead of offering a room change, they offered to send up earplugs and a fan. I already travel with a white noise machine and that was not helping. Apparently EDC was having a party at LIV that night. The front desk said the music would end at 3am. At 4:15am, it was still thumping. I have to get up early for meetings, so this was not helpful. At 7:15am, I WENT DOWN to the front desk to request a room change. They front desk said "NO, Im sorry - but don't worry, there are no more parties at LIV for the rest of the week". I wasn't asking for an upgrade or credits, just a CLEAN QUIET room to sleep. At $350/night for a Bleu King (base room), prices inflated for the convention, I am going to take my business to the Wynn or Encore (same price). Nobody wanted to help me, meanwhile two different customers checking in next to me got UPGRADES and water bottles.

I understand hotels need to check room keys sometimes for security, and I had no problem cooperating. However, during my stay, my friend and I were asked to show our room keys while other guests around us were not being checked. What made the experience uncomfortable was not the security check itself, but the way it was handled. The security guard’s tone, facial expression, and attitude made us feel singled out rather than simply part of a normal hotel procedure. A small interaction like this can really affect a guest’s overall impression of a hotel. I hope management will remind staff to handle security checks with more consistency, respect, and professionalism.

We just love the Fontainebleau Resort and it is on the top of our list. Rooms are great. Service is outstanding. We give it 100%. Linda Rose our Host is outstanding. A hidden gem is the Tavern and Diana, Nikki and Jose really made the time here even more memorable and outstanding.

On a tier match from MGM, we found Fontainebleau very generous and happy to show us what they have. Five nights (three comped) in a "Gold" room with a spectacular view of the strip and Sphere was more than enough to win us over. Staff in total was very welcoming including front desk agent Melissa who was a delight and a Janitor (missed the name) who went out of his way to wish us a pleasant day in the Casino. With temps SIXTEEN degrees above average, it was still an easy walk to Resorts World and Sahara. Expensive dining in marquee restaurants so we found the Food Hall to be more than adequate for our needs. So glad we gave Fontainebleau a try!
