Reviews for The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort

Amazing

I have always stayed here I’m a big fan of their rewards. I’ve encountered a couple issues but nothing they could not solve. There’s a reason I keep coming back to this lovely hotel.

This Hotel Continues to Shine

We have stayed here numerous times and it’s always our first choice. The rooms are amazing and the service in the lounge is first class - my favourite place to sit in the world, sipping wine and watching the world (and helicopters) go by. We splurged on a suite overlooking the sphere this time and it was awesome. Booked through Am-Ex FHR and got all the perks as usual. You have to stay here!

Beautiful and convenient, but dirty room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Beautifully decorated hotel right on the strip. Adjacent to the new Sphere. Rooms are huge with a separate, sunken living room area. Fully stocked bar with ridiculous prices. Very touch sensitive, so I don't recommend opening the fridge unless you're planning on paying for a drink. There's no room for any leftovers in there. Got the text when I checked in that said let us know if you need anything. Texted twice and the reply was to handle it myself. The room wasn't clean enough. There was a thick layer of dust on the headboard rail and the tub was dirty - even had an outright smudge and a hair. Gross! When I reported it on day one, i was told to call someone else to discuss a potential room change, but I was at a conference that lasted all day, every day, and didn't have time, plus I was exhausted. Figured they'd clean it the next day and it would be taken care of. The sheets were clean as far as I could tell and that was the most important part, so I just walked in and crashed after a shower. A nice, hot bath for my aching muscles sure would have been nice though. It was still dirty after four days of daily housekeeping, so what does that tell you? Same smudge, same hair, same dust. See photos from different days - in the corner. It was never touched. Yet, the housekeeper moved my personal stuff from the counter to a washcloth, folded shorts that were left out, wrapped the cord on a straight iron, and threw away clean qtips that were set on the vanity box for future use. She should have been concerned about cleaning the room (her job) instead of playing mom and touching all my personal stuff. The second time I texted was to ask for a ride to the airport. The reply then was to use an app for an Uber. It seems the service offered was just lip service.

Exceptional Experience

First time staying at the Palazzo. Could not have been better. Self Parking was a breeze and convenient to front desk and check in. Check in was quick and seamless with cordial and friendly team members assisting us. Room was amazing and spotless. View was amazing. Water Pressure was perfection. We have stayed in numerous Vegas Hotels up and down the strip as well as downtown. This was our BEST experience by far, cannot recommend highly enough. Location was perfect and easy walk to everything we wanted to experience.

Horrendous customer service ruined my 40th birthday celebration

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

If you are looking for a luxury 5 star hotel with prompt, considerate customer service then do not stay at the Palazzo, or its sister, the Venetian. If you are somebody with accessibility concerns, then do not stay at the Palazzo. If you are planning a special celebration, then do not stay at the Palazzo. The only people who should stay at this hotel are travelers who want to get a spacious room on the strip for an acceptable price, who then ruthlessly exploit the location by purchasing nothing at all from the hotel itself. I booked an executive 1 bedroom theatre suite at the Palazzo for 4 nights. I had informed the hotel in advance that I have a medical condition that gives me very sensitive hearing and that I should have a quiet room selected for me. The property has 7500 rooms so this is not a difficult request to satisfy. On the day of my 40th birthday I discovered that housekeeping had left a note in my room informing we that the water would be turned off between midnight and 4 a.m. due to 'emergency works'. What they did not bother to inform me was that they would be using a jackhammer directly above me for the entire afternoon. Given that I had planned to have a small group of friends, who had flown in from all around the world, visit my spacious suite that very afternoon for a structured talk and conversation about my scientific research, before we went to dinner that evening, this was nothing short of a disaster. I contacted customer service, anticipating that they would appreciate the significance of the problem for me, and remedy it with the alacrity expected from a genuine 5 star establishment. Alas, my experience with customer service was very far from my expectation. The initial agent seemed utterly unconcerned, not even bothering to vocalize a 'sorry'. I spent 20m of the 30m phone call on hold, even after escalating it to management. The customer service manager, Joseph, should be fired, and find another career than customer service, a career for which he is wholly unsuited. Naturally, I requested that the Palazzo furnish me with a quiet space for the ensuing 3 hours immediately, so that my guests and I could continue with our celebrations with minimal interruption or inconvenience. Given the vast resources and space available to the Palazzo, this should have been a trivial request to fulfil. Instead, Joseph, the customer service manager, told me that he had no intention of honoring my request, would not transfer me to an individual more senior than him, would only offer me a suite change to the other side of the resort complex, and a refund of a measly $200 of resort fees! He showed no interest or appreciation for the fact that my time and experience on such a unique special occasion was all that mattered. Quite the contrary, he endeavored to tell me that he had 'many other guests' in the hotel to attend to (so that I should not feel in any way that I mattered to the Palazzo!!!) He also had the temerity to suggest that perhaps I should go and hang out in a quiet part of the corridor with my guests. Should a senior member of the Palazzo team happen to read this, then I will finish with a solution to your systemic problem. That solution is accountability. Joseph, far away on the other end of a phone line, without the inconvenience of facing an irate customer, and no consequences related to whether he succeeded or failed, simply did not care. If satisfying the customer to the requisite standard was rewarded, and failing to do so was punished, then my experience at your hotel would have been very different.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. From the first encounter to the last they make you feel special, and like you are at a special hotel. The lobby is beautiful. The room was very spacious and well decorated. The casino is large and laid out in a fashion that allows you to move around easily. Overall we loved this hotel and look forward to returning!
