ALWAYS CHECK TRIPADVISOR BEFORE BOOKING A HOTEL,,,ESPECIALLY THE MGM GRAND SIGNATURE

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We should have checked your TRIPADVISOR rating of 3/12 stars before my son booked his wedding party to stay are you hotel... It all started when we asked you to accommodate us in advance if we could get adjoining rooms or at least on the same floor as our son and our 2 grandchildren(ages 2 & 5) and your response was you could/would not do anything until we checked in. Luckily you were at least able to put us on the same floor. We had quite a large wedding party yet no advance requests were accommodated...Most of our group arrived after 3:00pm and still had a long wait for a room. Our room had a kitchenette and his a full kitchen which we were excited about. But...neither one had supplies like silverware, glasses, pots & pans etc.... Luckily a cleaning lady(Maria) was cleaning the room next door, so I asked her and she said she would have it supplied. So, a little later, someone showed uo with 2 plates, 2 bowls, 2 glasses, 2 forks, 2 knives & 2 spoons. no pots, no sharp knives, no wine glasses. It seems like if you are going advertise a kitchen, you would have it supplied upon arrival...or at least ask at check-in do you want your kitchen supplied or have a note in the room telling you to call housekeeping. I HAD TO USE THE ICE BUCKET TO MIX THE BATTER FOR MY GRANDKIDS PANCAKES.... Also, if you are going to have kitchens, wouldn't it be a good idea to maybe have a small shop selling the basics like water, bread, etc. Or have some info about how to order and have supplies delivered? I asked at the front desk if there was a place we could get things like milk and she said go to Starbucks and maybe they will sell you some...amazing!!! So I went for a walk and found a nearby Walgreens....maybe you should tell your staff that so next time someone asks they can tell them. No glasses in the bathroom.....not even cheap plastic ones??? $9.00 plus tax for water???? Our room had a good supply of towels, etc so it was not a problem that we had no housekkeeping on our first and last night....guess they do not keep track of rooms that have not been serviced??? No pool...at least a 10 minute walk to the one at MGM Grand. For a hotel that thinks they are classy pretty tacky seeing people in the lobby in swimsuits carry their LAZY RIVER tubes. Lousy phone service....practically every time I called, I got a recording. Never did get someone at the front desk or concierge to answer...only housekeeping & maintenance...thankfully because they were the ones we had to call the most. Crushed ice machines...the first hotel I ever stayed in that had such type machines....just what person needs to water down their drink. Lobby exit doors...no automatic doors. Seems like that should be an ADA requirement??? I never had a doorman open the inside door, even when I was pulling suitcases and only occasionally opening the outside door. BOTTOM LINE: Most of these issues should be an easy fix...so maybe your management needs to get out in the field and see for themselves what relatively small things can be implemented to help make it look like you cared about your GUESTS.

The staff makes the stay great!

I only stay here for long-term business travel and the staff knows me now. Always a warm greeting--my home away from home. Special shoutout to my breakfast and cafe attendant--Idalisa Raposo! The valet team at Tower 1 and Tower 3 and the front desk team for always remembering me and treating me like family. It makes business trips much more bearable to have an awesome group of people. Eunice rocks!!!

Brought back memories of the 1990’s. There really isn’t any difference in upgrades other than a view.

This was another great stay at Signature MGM Grand. When we come to town for an event it is our go to place. Very clean, courteous and professional staff and price is competitive.

We just had the pleasure of staying in a lovely suite at the MGM Grand. It was a joy to be able to enjoy the action on the strip and come back to the hotel for peace and comfort - we loved the jacuzzi tub and plush bed. I will most likely only stay here when I return to Vegas!
