Find all of the beauty and drama of Venice in a most unlikely place when you check into The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino on the Strip in Las Vegas. With soaring marble pillars, works of art and entire facades painstakingly recreated, not to mention actual canals with singing gondoliers gliding past, The Venetian captures the magic of Italy perfectly. The Grand Canal Shoppes, including some of the most sought-after designer names, and restaurants run by some of most highly regarded chefs, line the canals beneath vaulted, hand-painted ceilings. An 112,000 square foot casino awaits those ready to try their luck at the famed tables, while a variety of activities offer additional diversity. The Venetian is a chance to walk through halls of history, explore the beauty of one of Italy's most famous cities, and to experience the wonders that Las Vegas has to offer - in one spectacular resort.

The hotel is very nice. I was disappointed that there is no coffee in the room as I like to have it as soon as I get up. Instead I had to get dressed and go to the lobby to buy it. But Starbucks was very close. Room service for coffee is crazy with 18% tax and a $9 delivery fee. The beds were super comfy and the view from our window of the Sphere was amazing. And the bathroom was a great size. Loved that! The room did smell of rotten eggs (room 36811) so you may want to check that!

From check in, to checkout. The staff overall are unfriendly and not very helpful. This included inquires about the Wizard of Oz, which my two daughters were so excited to see. Whoever is responsible for people skills training needs to either retrain the staff or rethink your training. Eg. my one daughter went through the turnstile and was waiting for her younger sister who was third I was second the security guard barked at my daughter and said she couldn't stand there she had to continue. I was right there and I told your security guard that she's waiting for her little sister as I was he insisted that we had to move. My oldest daughter was very upset because she has been taught to always watch out for her little sister. I immediately your security guard to relax she's only waiting for her sister. Before you respond it wasn't that crowded.. I know it's a business I get it, buy my daughters are your future customers right, just food for thought

The Grand Lux dining was a very big disappointment as it was not clean, table was sticky and had to be wiped down again before we could order. We asked tha tthe place settings and napkins be replaced as they were dirty and there were black flakes in my dining companions napkin. The replacement set-up brought out were also dirty and had to be replaced also. A staff member was removing two place settings from the table next to us (to turn a four top into a two top) and dropped a butter knife on the floor. She picked it up., put it with the other silverware being removed and placed it all back in the set-up trays to be used as if clean and never on the floor. That is a health code violation and additional training should be given to those folks.

We stayed two nights at the Venetian December 28 to 30. Overall a good stay our room was very spacious and the food was very good and entertainment was excellent especially the Shin Lim Magic Show. On our last day at check out we scanned our valet parking ticket at the kiosk and it gives an option to leave a gratuity, since I had cash ready for the tip I opted no on the kiosk. Our car took 40 minutes for them to bring out front. I asked why did it take so long? The lady that brought our car said VIPs get faster service? Our friends who got their car are not VIP. Then the lady that brought our car at 11 am said VIPs are the ones that leave a tip on the kiosk. I said I had cash ready since I thought the you would prefer cash tip. Anyways if you don’t tip on the kiosk machine expect to wait longer to get your car out from Valet. Terrible that the valet parking operates this way.

No access to water bottle fill stations, and in room bottles cost $18. Housekeeping skipped our room, waited 10 minutes on the phone to notify them. $50 drink credit has many contingencies. For the the luxury price they are acting like spirit airlines

We have stayed in other Vegas top hotels but we would come back without a second thought. I wish I was there right now!
