We’ve stayed at this hotel at least 10 times when it was the Delano. Now it is the W. hotel and it was absolutely awful. While they’re doing construction, they took away the restaurant, the coffee shop, and the bar. Not only that the service has really tanked. We requested housekeeping and left for the entire day and came back and they never came at all. Every time we would request for an item that we needed they would bring something completely different to the room and not even close to what we asked for. We paid for late checkout, and then we were sent multiple messages that we still had to check out at regular time and then called the front desk to verify that we were getting what we paid for and after much confusion, we finally got the late checkout, but it was a big fight to get what we already paid for. All the things that used to make this place special are gone. In addition now that you can walk to the stadium it’s just completely mobbed -the line to get a Starbucks at Mandalay Bay is about an hour long. This used to be our favorite, but sadly we will never return.

Under staffed, Under renovation. rooms are underwhelming (large empty rooms, No pool, no notice of any of this on their website, and the property is not in the flow of the strip. Stay at the Bellagio! W-Las Vegas is underwhelming!

This is my second W Vegas stay this year. The first stay seemed like the old Delano. This trip I started to see and feel the transformation. I think this W is the best MGM property in Vegas. Good The staff seem to be getting with the W style. The phone has whatever/wherever. The lobby is being renovated into a better flow. I can see the hipness emerging. The rooms were silent. Complaints There was construction. I had an obnoxious family across the hall, but they were taken care of before I could call the front desk. The frig was locked and was only for stuff to buy.

I wish I could leave two very different reviews for this property. My check-in experience was five stars and then some. Hands-down in 1500+ Marriott nights the best front desk agent, ever. Sparkles was friendly, kind and went over all the details of our stay. But…the room. Come on. It used to be when a hotel re-flagged, they made effort to renovate first. W used to be such a special brand. Now Marriott slaps up a W in any building and calls it a day. Our room was dated, worn out, and tired. Not a W quality experience, at all. I know renovations are coming and they are badly needed. A pizza box sat in the hallway on the way to the elevator for two days. Furniture was dinged up and ugly. No thanks, not a good W and not even a very good property compared to other properties on the strip. Marriott and MGM you really are capable of delivering better than this.

We had a 3 night stay at the W Las Vegas. We had a very nicely appointed King Suite: 2 hanging closets, plenty of drawer space, separate living space, 1.5 bathrooms with tub and walk in shower. The all suite hotel is a big draw. The hotel is located at the end of the strip and it is about a 1 mile walk to the heart of the Strip (Aria, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio etc). Check in was very quick using their VIP line as Marriott Ambassador. We had access to their VIP lounge (as Ambassador) but did not learn about this till check out so we’re not able to check it out.
