The W Las Vegas is the third name the hotel at 3940 South Las Vegas Boulevard has had since it opened 22 years ago. This was my fourth stay at the property, but my first since it was rebranded as a W. Very little seems to have changed, other than the fact that there are no longer any restaurants operating on the property beyond a coffee stand and a couple of bars (room service is available, but pricey). To make matters worse, the coffee shop opened late on at least two of the mornings during my stay. I’ve always liked this hotel because it’s removed from the Strip’s hustle and bustle, is smoke-free, and you don’t have to drag your suitcase through a casino just to check in. That said, despite the rebrand, the property doesn’t feel like a W. It lacks the energy, design sensibility, and service touches typically associated with the brand. The rooms are large and comfortable, and I believe they all have a full bath plus a half bath. My biggest complaint, however, was housekeeping: no one cleaned our room during the three days we were there, despite repeatedly pressing the “clean room” button by the front door. Until the hotel delivers a consistent W-level experience, including reliable housekeeping, on-time basic amenities, and on-site restaurants, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Although the grounds and communal areas look great the rooms look their age (I'd say at least a decade old). It's not a bad hotel but it is one that has no soul. Although the check in staff was lovely they actually have no power to help you in anyway as they need to get sign off from an elusive manager who is not on the ground for the smallest thing. Since there was bo other rooms available and ours was thouroughly stained, we received a suite upgrade. Sadly, while our room was dirty and unacceptable, moving rooms took a lot of insisting. Housekeeping is ok but regularly leaves dust or items behind. Overall not a bad experience but not a good one either.

The W at the Mandalay was a little bit of a walk from the registration desk, but the room was so nice, roomy and clean. I love the tub, it was so relaxing. The next time I go, I am staying at the W again.

We enjoyed our stay at W Las Vegas! Our suite was spacious and comfortable. It was also within walking range of our conference at Mandalay Bay. We've never had a bad experience at MGM resorts, and W Las Vegas was no exception. I'm sure we will return.

Hotel was smokefree and quiet, which is hard to find in Las Vegas. The room/suite was very spacious which allowed for separation of work and sleep. A small little nook next to the Mandalay Bay and very close to all the shows and conference area.
