My travel agent selected this hotel, so I was caught off-guard by the grandeur. Fresh flowers adorn the the lobby. Everything appears polished, clean, and brand new. The bathroom was so beautiful, I wanted to add it to my carry-on luggage. The bed was so comfortable, it made me break my routine and sleep in. I had a view from the 18th floor. At night, the attendants added water and chocolates to my nightstand. To be frank, the Hilton and the Marriott brands pale in comparison to Corinthia.

Viking booked us here for our upcoming pre river cruise. We enjoyed our three day stay at the Corinthia hotel very much. It was a good location with good restaurants both in and out of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was superb. We would absolutely stay here again.

This is an update on my husband’s review which unfortunately we are unable to remove. We reported the issues we had to the duty manager Iulia and she has made sure the remainder of our stay has been truly memorable. Our room was upgraded as an apology and we have had special treats too. The new room is perfection and the follow up every day since we raised our concerns has made us feel like valued guests. We may have been initially unlucky but the clawback has restored our faith in Corinthia. We’d stay here again.

I can see that this hotel can get it right, there are lots of great reviews but I’m afraid they have got it horribly wrong this time. I visited for my wedding anniversary, when I arrived I realised I had been provided with a room with a view of a brick wall. When I took a look around my room, I found it dusty and grimey. When I ordered some in-room breakfast, I was provided with pancakes that were tougher than biscuits. When I went to have a shower (after a visit to the well-equipped gym) I found that my room had neither shower gel nor clean bathrobes. It just doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel (most of the little touches are missing and it all just feels a little dated. I would look elsewhere in Lisbon - there are some better options around this price point.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is slightly out of town but that didn’t really impact us and there is a free shuttle. Staff were very friendly and the bed and shower were outstanding. I’d recommend for families and business. Nice pool to take the children to unwind.
