The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

Fabulous in every way- the service is exceptional. Warm and personal atmosphere and very comfortable except bed harder than my preference.

This is a wonderful Boutique Hotel in the South Kensington area of London, very close to the Victoria Albert Museum. The neighbourhood is in a very comfortable, pleasant, quiet area of London. The Hotel is in two converted townhouses. The decor is very classically stylish, modern, and relaxing. The rooms are all individually decorated. Our room was tastefully done with high end furnishings, comfortable bed with fine linens, with a modern well designed bathroom. The ground floor across from the reception desks, has a very comfortable sitting room and bar for relaxing after a busy day seeing the sights. The lower level has a very comfortable breakfast room with excellent offerings. The property is kept in immaculate condition and all the staff are extremely accommodating and polite. The staff motto is TNT (Tiny Noticeable Things), and they deliver this. This is the kind of property where you really don’t want to leave.

Staff could not do enough for us, a lovely boutique and cosy feel, even though the room was small was elegant and had a fantastic feeling of classic British heritage
