About the Hotel

The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

Reviews for The Egerton House Hotel

Book in the martini masterclass - a great gift or experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I went with a friend to The Egerton House hotel for a martini masterclass led by the very knowledgable and great storyteller, Gianfranco. We had a wonderful few hours of learning about the history, wonderful stories about the martini ingredients and how to make a famous Egerton martini, balancing vermouth and sherry. Then we got to taste it. They are amazing - if you are a martini fan or looking to be one, do yourself a favour and try it! We also got some wonderful canapés and snacks to keep us going. It is well worth the experience, a great gift or opportunity for a martini lover to learn more. Highly recommended!

English country house perfection

Location is perfect for Harrods and all museums which are virtually opposite with many local restaurants . The ambiance of the Egerton is warmth homely and smart. All staff I would consider to be very attentive and faultless. It is a quintessentially old English style with many little treats along the way . Such a lovely relaxed stay

Fabulous in every way- the service is exceptional. Warm and personal atmosphere and very comfortable except bed harder than my preference.
