Hotel Cafe Royal

This is a wonderful hotel with exquisite service. The staff are so friendly and helpful and seem to anticipate your every need. When we checked in, we were greeted with a glass of champagne in the lovely lobby. Our rooms were comfortable and quiet. The only things that would improve the rooms are that there was no convenient electrical plug for hair dryers or curling irons, so I had to put it on the floor and stand outside the bathroom in order to use it by a mirror. Also, like many other hotels, this one is following the trend of spraying scent in the rooms and having one of those horrible scent bottles with sticks in the room. I didn't find it right away as it was in the bar area, but as soon as I did, I put it in the hall. I'm not allergic to these, like some people, but they make me feel a little nauseous. Breakfast was included with our reservation, and the choices were great. I would go back to the Hotel Cafe Royal in a minute.

Cafe Royal Hotel is a treat in the heart of London. From the exquisite doormen welcome to the outstanding room, amenities, and restaurant experience, the experience is not only remarkable but instagramable. I would highly recommend this property as a first in class hotel.

An incredible hotel from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The staff are so welcoming and professional and nothing is too much trouble. Everyone was also so kind to our children, speaking and acknowledging them too. Our room was a suite, overlooking Piccadilly. Yes, it was expensive but did not disappoint! Wow factor from the moment we stepped in the room and everything was well thought through and everything we needed was provided. Bed delightfully comfortable, bathroom so luxurious (possibly the biggest bath I’ve ever seen!) and great black out curtains and soundproofing. Great night’s sleep - they even left pillow spray to use. For the children, there were lots of thoughtful touches - welcome packs and gifts, their own sized slippers and dressing gowns. Nice beds for them - not terrible ones like a lot of hotels. The spa - wow! It is genuinely breathtaking walking downstairs into the underground spa - very special. Relaxing atmosphere and comfortable beds. Family swim times too so you can enjoy the pool but knowing adults will have peace at other times. The concierge were extremely helpful and booked our restaurants for dinner each night - fantastic recommendations, thank you! The bar was lovely - we sat outside in the summer sun in the outdoor area and it was delightful and for the centre of London, a really nice chilled atmosphere. The whole experience made for a wonderful family break to London! Next time we’re back in London - we’ll be back for sure! Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We recently stayed at Hotel Café Royal and were genuinely impressed by the level of service and care throughout our visit. We arrived earlier than the standard check-in time, and while our room wasn’t quite ready, the team kindly offered us a temporary room to freshen up — a thoughtful gesture that was much appreciated after our travels. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a perfect balance of classic elegance and modern comfort. Our room was spacious, quiet, and beautifully appointed. The central location made it easy to explore the city, with shopping, dining, and major attractions just steps away. A special thank you to Karim and John from the Concierge team, who went above and beyond to assist us. They even offered us a stroller for our 2-year-old, which made exploring London so much easier. Their kindness and attention to detail truly enhanced our stay. Every interaction, from check-in to housekeeping, felt warm and personalized. Hotel Café Royal delivers a luxury experience with genuine hospitality — we look forward to returning!

We stayed for 6 nights in a deluxe room grand. This hotel is centrally located, walking distance from everything. We loved the layout of the room and the modern design. The bathroom was really nice, all marble. The cheesecake that is the speciality from Cake and bubbles downstairs is fantastic - we ate it twice, really worth a visit. The concierge are really helpful, happy to suggest alternative ideas for activities. We recommend the Cartier exhibit if you visit while that is showing. We just loved our stay here - the hotel was quiet, modern, clean. The housekeeping staff were great. We placed a dry cleaning request and that came back by 7pm no problem. We would stay here again and have already started thinking about when we can return to London and this hotel!
