We had lunch at The Lanesborough under their offer of a fixed price meal, a present from our son for Christmas. The meal and staff were wonderful and efficient. However what led to the lower grade review was when my husband decided to order the Cheese platter for an extra £12. Well that was a joke and really quite insulting. Got more when we flew on BA two days later.. and that was included in our fare! I would also warn people that you will also automatically have to pay a service charge on the whole meal. Not a problem for us however just remember that when you come to budget for lunch.

We just came back from our most recent visit, a short one after a cruise. The combination of location, beauty, amenities and people are very hard to beat. We slept in until 1pm without hearing a peep from busy London outside. The concierge booked us a table at fantastic Italian restaurant Sale & Pepe, we walked to Harrods for our usual shopping and easily walked to see Hamilton at Victoria Palace. Just the ambiance of the Lanesborough is stunning. Love the Library Bar and the old fashioneds are superb. Can’t wait to go back.

An excellent stay .. most enjoyable stay with a team that makes you feel very much at ease. One of the best all round hotel

The Concierge at the Lanesborough are thorough, helpful and thoughtful, not to mention well connected. Ashley, Ed, Daniel and Jonny make you feel like you are with friends. They are all great story tellers and make London come alive with their recommendations. If there is anything you need to know about Mayfair or anywhere in the capital this team will know and make it happen. The hotel itself is spectacular and historic, it was built in 1719, Director Stanley Kubric used The Royal Suite to shoot Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ and Stevie Wonder has played on The Library Bar’s piano - this doesn't even scratch the surface of the magic of this place

WOW! We had the most amazing, tastiest and most beautiful afternoon tea at the Lanesborough. We had the Bridgerton Queen Charlotte themed afternoon tea and WOW! It was so, so, so tasty. The tea was so tasteful, the scones were so soft, the pastries were so beautiful and the service was so excellent. We felt like Queens. We will return to this beautiful hotel for sure. Worth every penny, just WOW!
