5 Stars!!!

The hotel was five star! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the service was more than expected. Pauline was our server in the restaurant and was so very friendly and attentive! Highly recommend this hotel!

Disappointing, not 5*

Sold as a 5* hotel but falls far short of that. It is an excellent 3* and good 4*. Reception area cramped and chaotic at check in. Carpets on 6th floor and in room 660 stained. Bathroom in 660 a great size but smells fousty, I guess the water doesn’t flow properly. Definitely not 5*

Best Stay Ever

Check in was superb and efficient, Corina and Andrea were amazing on reception. It was my Birthday and they made me feel so special….thank you girls. They couldn’t do enough to support me as a wheelchair user. Fantastic Breakfast. Superb bed!! Wonderful atmosphere and l can’t wait to celebrate all my special events here.

Very average; great location

- We stayed here for seven nights in April because the hotel was the departure point for a weeklong conference I was attending. Overall, the hotel is not worth the price paid and I would opt for a different hotel in future. There are countless options in the surrounding area, many of which are excellent. Pros - Breakfast was fresh but their options were more suited to vegetarians and not vegans (as we are). - Hotel is centrally located next to every major attraction. Minutes walk from Green Park tube station, minutes walk to Buckingham Palace, adjacent to New Bond street, and near countless excellent restaurants. The area is also bustling and felt safe even when returning late at night. - Staff are polite and extremely responsive. Requests for towels or other items were delivered within minutes. - The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The only exception is that the doors to the hallway are very thin (you can actually see the light from the hallway coming through the door) and as a result people passing by can cause a lot of noise. However, we didn’t experience the level of noise other people complained about because we were on a high floor facing the courtyard. Other colleagues who were on lower floors facing the street said the noise was unbearable. If you’re sensitive to noise, ask for a room facing the courtyard. Cons: - The hotel is pretty worn down and in need of updating and a thorough cleaning. Contrary to the photos the rooms are dark, the walls damaged, the carpet stained, and there were rolls of dust under the bed. It reminded me of a room that had been used and abused by a high volume of visitors. - The lights operate only if you have a keycard in the key slot. This is annoying if you have only one. The bathroom lights all operate on a single switch. This means you cannot turn on one light farther in when one person needs to use the bathroom at night—its either all or nothing. This is entirely impractical at night or during the day since the bathroom has no natural light and requires that you turn on a light to see anything. - The closet is connected to and before the bathroom and has no door of its own. As I was attending for a conference I had to bring and hang a suit and several nice outfits. I didn’t because there is nothing to separate the steam of the shower from your clothes.

Excellent location, caring staff and great breakfast

Perfect location(walkable to Green Park station which has Underground with many major train lines) and can walk to the Buckingham palace, Trafalgar sq and St James Park. Fantastic breakfast with a lavish and elaborate spread. Great size rooms- you wouldn't expect so much space in central London! Awesome staff who care for the customer experience and comfort. Everyone from the front desk to servers in the restaurant were fantastic. Special mention for the Italian server(whose name I forgot) who served us over dinner-he was giving us good recommendations, talked to our family so nicely and also the staff at breakfast(like Sowmya etc. took care of your needs(they would even customize your dish to your liking and even made English porridge for us on asking even though it was not part of the buffet breakfast) We didn't get to use the bar/club but it looked like a popular place over the weekend with people steaming in all the time. Would definitely recommend this elegant hotel
