JetSetBear and the Grumpy Wombat stayed at the Park Hyatt London River Thames in early October 2025 for three nights, and it was outstanding from start to finish. I’m a Hyatt Globalist and used a Suite Upgrade Award, and we were upgraded to the Park Suite River View on the 8th floor. The views of the Thames were worth the trip alone. The suite was elegant and beautifully designed. Motorized blinds, a gorgeous minibar with an actual tea set (not a stainless steel shoebox like some hotels), and a huge bathroom with a walk-in shower, massive soaking tub, and a glorious Toto Japanese-style toilet that practically applauded when you entered. The bedroom had an enormous king bed, and the living room and bedroom each had giant 65-inch TVs. No complaints from the Wombat there. The pool area was stunning—big, bright, and designed for proper laps. The Grumpy Wombat swam so many laps he briefly forgot to complain. The robes were huge, and the slippers were actually wombat-sized, so we didn’t have the usual comedy routine of tiny doll shoes on giant feet. Every staff member we met was warm and polished. The front desk team even arranged one of the house cars to shuttle us to a nearby restaurant one evening, which was a very nice touch. I was a little unsure about the location at first, but I ended up loving it. The hotel is between Nine Elms Station (Northern Line) and Vauxhall Station (Victoria Line), so getting around London was simple. Even better, there is a dock at the end of the block where you can hop on the Uber Boat on the Thames, which became one of our favorite ways to get around the city—fast, scenic, and fun. You can walk along the river to Battersea Power Station, which has become one of the most impressive redeveloped areas in London: great restaurants, shopping, pubs, beautiful architecture, and the modern U.S. Embassy is just up the road. The whole neighborhood is growing and feels clean, safe, and vibrant. Overall, a truly fantastic stay—luxurious room, great service, excellent amenities, and a surprisingly perfect location. JetSetBear gives it five stars. The Grumpy Wombat loved it too—especially the pool, the giant slippers, and the bathroom gadgets. That’s basically a rave review. We can’t wait to return.

The hotel is nice, the reason i would recommend, however as a globalist staying 150+ days this year, felt undervalued and to the point of disregarded. However, the overall staff were very nice and the courtesy car was a very good addition.

Arrival & First Impressions My check-in experience was quick and positive. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I actually had multiple bookings, and they made sure I stayed in the same room throughout the whole stay. Room & Bathroom My room had an interesting layout, with the bathroom coming first after the entrance door. I appreciate that this hotel has both a shower and a bath in all room categories — which doesn’t always happen, even in five-star hotels in London. The room itself was very modern, clean and beautifully decorated. I especially liked the tech features for the blinds and lighting — and the high-tech toilet! Sleep Quality The most important thing for me at any hotel is sleep quality. This hotel has a very comfortable mattress; it offers great medium-firm support for your body and has a flat surface, which I’m very fussy about since I dislike bumpy mattresses or those with buttons that many old-school hotels use. Their mattress brand is actually the reason why I booked this hotel to begin with. The hotel is also very quiet at night, and the blackout blinds make the room completely dark. The only thing I’d mention is that it would be nice to have a pillow selection. Breakfast & Service The breakfast was amazing too. They have lots of options to choose from — I particularly enjoyed their eggs Benedict, pancakes and excellent coffee. I had breakfast through both room service and in the restaurant; service was very fast, and I enjoyed the restaurant’s aesthetics. It’s also convenient to have in-room dining if you oversleep the restaurant or buffet hours. Location & Atmosphere The location is not exactly central and it’s not a touristy area; however, it’s very well connected via Vauxhall station. It’s also a short walk across the bridge to Pimlico and about a 15-minute walk to Battersea Power Station for shopping and Battersea Park. Gym, Spa & Amenities I used the gym and the spa once, and it was a very enjoyable experience. The gym is well equipped, has plenty of space and benefits from lots of natural light. The pool is nice too, although a bit too shallow for my height. Room to Improve It would be nice to have some complimentary snacks in the room, such as popcorn or biscuits, and a bigger selection of snacks available in the bar — but otherwise, keep up the good work! Overall Impression / Verdict I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. It’s very modern and upholds a high standard of service and quality — it almost doesn’t feel like a London hotel. I would definitely come back.

This Park Hyatt was lovely! We stayed in a huge suite that was beautifully furnished. The staff were fantastic, each & every one! While not located in the popular shopping area of Oxford Street or Harrods, there was a tube station a short walk away. Once returning to the hotel, the peacefulness & quiet ambience made it a stunning retreat.

Our stay here was exceptional. To say the hotel was clean and well maintained is an understatement. The breakfast was exceptional, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive! I cannot wait to go back.
