Amazing and beautiful hotel with extraordinary service. This stay exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay here again.

A beautiful modern hotel, let down by inconvenient location and construction in the area. The service was OK, but nothing special. The room was very nice, modern, spacious and beautifully appointed, but had a disappointing view to a construction site. The shower was accessible, which I didn't require, and the overall ambience of the bathroom was disappointing (e.g. cheap shower curtains of a budget hotel, limited sink counter space). Generally, I have higher expectations from Park Hyatt.

I'm a Globalist and we have stayed at other Park Hyatts around the world and this hotel fell a little short. The suite itself is ok but if you don't have a river suite, the view is pretty lackluster. We waited 45 minutes and called twice to ask someone to help show us how to operate the bath. This was pretty disappointing and a big waste of time. The doorman at night wasn't observant so didn't always open the door Overall, the service, except for housekeeping which was wonderful, was below expectations and compared to other Park Hyatt hotels. At this price point, service should be stellar but was only ok.

Lovely hotel with large modern rooms. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. I think you would be hard pushed to find a better hotel room in the same price range. Location is good for access to underground and to the river. Very nice breakfast too!! I’ll definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Park Hyatt River Thames for four nights over Valentine’s Day. We generally like the Park Hyatt brand and will put them to the top of the list for consideration in any city. In the case of London, I think I would simply say: Comfortable hotel. Good service. Awkward location. I think this is consistent with most reviews. We stayed in a corner view room. The room itself was comfortable with expansive windows and views. We enjoyed the table by the window and had breakfast there 3 out of 4 mornings. While the corner view is nice, the layout of this room is a bit odd as you enter the room through your bathroom on the way to the bedroom. While attractive, not sure I like passing by my towels and toiletries every time I come and go. I should also note that closet space is also a bit tight in this room. As for sleeping, the bed was comfortable with down pillows and down comforter - we slept very well. We appreciated the blackout curtains and the sheers that could be raised and lowered at the push of a button. We slept very well. As noted, we typically had breakfast in our room. Service was always very responsive and we never waited more than 25 minutes. Food arrived hot and my cappuccino was clearly the last thing put on the cart before being delivered. On the one morning we went down for breakfast, initial orders were taken quickly, but the overall scene was frantic with people competing for our waiters attention and dishes surrounded us from departing tables that were left for quite a while…. I saw managers bussing tables, but clearly they need some help and I would recommend breakfast in the room…. In the bar, we usually ended our day with a nightcap. Service was quick to approach and drinks were quick to arrive. Now, as for location… the Vauxhall and Nine Elm tube stops are easy to reach. Sainsbury and Tesco grocery stores are also very close at hand. However, other shopping and restaurants in the area are pretty limited for the average Park Hyatt guest. CI reckon that most guests will be crossing back and forth over Vauxhall Bridge to get to central London. Cabs and Uber typically took no more than 10 mins to arrive. I should also note that on a nice day, you can walk along the embankment and be at the London Eye and Big Ben in about 20 mins or so. Soho and Piccadilly are another 10 to 15 mins walking from there. If the weather cooperates and you have time, this is a very nice walk. While we found the Park Hyatt to be very comfortable overall and the service to be friendly, I do wish the location were more central (e.g., Paris and Vienna). We wished it were easier to pop back to the hotel between outings. Anticipate spending more time and money than you otherwise might coming and going.
