About the Hotel
The Rubens at the Palace is the closest you'll get to a sleepover with the Queen without a state visit invitation. The hotel is directly across from the royal residence on property that enjoys a colorful past – the Duke of Buckingham lived here in the 1600s, followed by an apothecary and a Court dressmaker. The Rubens, which was built in 1912, housed the Polish army during WWII and gave respite to exiled Charles de Gaulle. The hotel's decadent – and often equally colorful – rooms and suites are a comfortable home base in the epicenter of London.

Highly recommend!
My husband and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary at the Rubens recently and had a wonderful visit! There was a special Happy Anniversary cake waiting for us in the room! Leo Forte, the Hotel Manager, was funny, charming and very helpful. We didn’t want to leave and they kindly welcomed us to return to The Rubens at the Palace and we would love that! Andy, the doorman, greeted us kindly and helped us get taxis. You can tell that the staff truly enjoys working at The Rubens. Highly recommend!

Super Afternoon Tea & Bar Experience
While recently in London, staying at a sister hotel to the Rubens, I had the opportunity to visit the Leopard Bar and Restaurant for Afternoon Tea. Service at the Bar was great as was the Afternoon Tea with a splendid view of the Royal Mews. I wish to thank Ms. Giulia Castagni, Front Office Manager, for a tour of the public rooms and an introduction to the services of the Hotel. Rakhi and Shree provided quality service for Afternoon Tea for my guests and myself. The Rubens exceeded my expectations for both service and enjoyable menu selections.

Great Location & Wonderful Staff
My friend and I stayed here and loved it. It is centrally located. The room while small was very comfortable and pretty. The staff from the doorman to the front desk to the bartender and wait staff all went above and beyond every minute of our stay.

Had a gorgeous trip at The Rubens! From check-in to check-out we were made to feel very special! All of the staff were incredible and made our experience feel very personal. Perfect location to visit all the 'must see' attractions, so it's great if you haven't been to London before. I'll definitely be staying again!

I just returned from an amazing 6 nights at The Rubens. My trip was for business and at the last minute, I had to bring my baby along. This worried me greatly, but thanks to the wonderful staff of the hotel, my week went off without a hitch. The staff couldn't have been any kinder, more helpful, or professional. From the moment we arrived, special attention was paid to the baby and any assistance I needed. There is no doubt that I will be returning to this hotel. It has won a special place in my heart.

Our package at the Rubens at the Palace let my mother and me live like a queen. From the flowers in the room, the beautiful suite, the daily high tea, the staff - everything was a deluxe vacation opportunity. My previous vacations to London pale in comparison to this experience.

I can't say enough about the amazing service at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or needed help. The concierge was wonderful and went out of his way to come check on us and see how our day our was turning out. It made us feel very welcome and almost like family! The room was very comfortable, the food in the bar was great, service was amazing. We'll stay here again!
