About the Hotel
The Rubens at the Palace is the closest you'll get to a sleepover with the Queen without a state visit invitation. The hotel is directly across from the royal residence on property that enjoys a colorful past – the Duke of Buckingham lived here in the 1600s, followed by an apothecary and a Court dressmaker. The Rubens, which was built in 1912, housed the Polish army during WWII and gave respite to exiled Charles de Gaulle. The hotel's decadent – and often equally colorful – rooms and suites are a comfortable home base in the epicenter of London.

Old English Charm!
Everyone at this property was amazing! Everyone works together to allow for a great experience staying here. The location is perfect right by the Buckingham Palace and the Victoria Rail Line. The breakfast was great as was the service. If you're looking for old English charm this is the place for you. A huge shout out to Robert, our door man. Very nice young man!

Our favourite London hotel
This was our third or fourth stay at Rubens over the past couple of years, we love it. All staff are so welcoming and helpful and polite - this goes a long way when making an impression on guests! They called up to our room after we arrived to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed, which was nice. The next day we asked at Reception for more milk and an iron, which were delivered to our room within minutes. Such a great location, and a lovely hotel. Can't wait for the next trip!

Another good stay at this hotel near Buckingham Palace
Another good stay at this well appointed hotel. As usual the staff were great. I asked to move room as my allotted room (101) was not only small but quite oppressive with no direct light and a step up to the bathroom. My request was dealt with very efficiently and without fuss. Thanks as usual also to the concierge team and especially Robert who hailed our taxis snd helped with our luggage. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel with great staff
I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. Its location is outstanding: really close to the Royal palace and Hyde Park, to Victoria station and shopping areas. The staff of the hotel was incredibly friendly and attentive. They were ready to assist with everything I needed, from accommodation-related questions to providing a plug adapter or an umbrella for the rainy weather. I’d also like to mention the bar of the hotel with its calm, relaxing atmosphere and pleasant music. The team there is exceptional. I enjoyed warm conversations with the bartender and Lucio, the bar manager, who did everything possible to ensure I had my best experience. The hotel has a great team and I wish it prosperity and many grateful guests in the future.

I just returned from an amazing 6 nights at The Rubens. My trip was for business and at the last minute, I had to bring my baby along. This worried me greatly, but thanks to the wonderful staff of the hotel, my week went off without a hitch. The staff couldn't have been any kinder, more helpful, or professional. From the moment we arrived, special attention was paid to the baby and any assistance I needed. There is no doubt that I will be returning to this hotel. It has won a special place in my heart.

Our package at the Rubens at the Palace let my mother and me live like a queen. From the flowers in the room, the beautiful suite, the daily high tea, the staff - everything was a deluxe vacation opportunity. My previous vacations to London pale in comparison to this experience.

I can't say enough about the amazing service at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or needed help. The concierge was wonderful and went out of his way to come check on us and see how our day our was turning out. It made us feel very welcome and almost like family! The room was very comfortable, the food in the bar was great, service was amazing. We'll stay here again!
