Designer Philippe Starck conceived St Martins Lane London as a surrealist wonderland viewed through the looking glass of classic British eccentric taste. Cheeky and daring with a touch decadent, the lobby and social spaces are signature Starck style. It’s fitting that the hotel is situated in the bustling theatre district in Covent Garden - it is pure drama. Just ask the garden gnomes; this is classic London with a seriously seductive twist. Floor-to-ceiling windows at St Martins Lane pull the cityscape into each guest room, offering a dramatic perspective on the energetic city below. The Tim Andreas of Banjo design rooms evoke a sense of spaciousness and luxury by using a mix of both naturally inspired and modern materials. The overall effect is an ethereal, yet sensuous experience.

Great spot for a London break. A calm oasis in the middle of the west end. Very well looked after by friendly, professional staff, but a special mention for Vi who helped make it a very special occasion for us.

My first trip to London could not have started any better than the initial steps into 45 St. Martin Lane when wonderful Visar welcomed us weary travelers, immediately assisting with our bags and suggestions on next things to do while we awaited checkin. The hotel is, in my opinion, a perfect location for exploring the West End, Westminster and Buckingham palace areas and all of the nearby museums and sights. When needed, the underground was a short couple of blocks away. The room was bright, clean, with a modern bathroom. Hotel staff kept everything spotless, refreshing towels daily, and were quick to respond to any requests that we made. Outstanding experience in London made easy by the staff of this hotel.

Adnan & Richard were excellent hosts , very knowledgeable, charismatic and did well with suggestions and selling us food/cocktails. The efforts of the hosts are the reasoning behind my giving a 5 star rating. The Lamb was fantastic but over priced, the Poussin dish was not something I would order again , needed more flavour as was relatively bland. The Rillete starter & Camembert are both items we wouldn’t order again. The cocktails were ok, slightly overpriced. I spent £188 for 2 mains 2 starters and four cocktails. I did not feel it was good value for money as we both felt what we received was average. We went to the bar next door The Blind Spot, they had good music creating a party vibe, good attendance and the venue is nice with a good decour & floor plan. The cocktail menu was good , themed around global locations. Approx £20 a cocktail was the going rate , they were ok but as before I was not wowed by what I had received. It was busy, and the gentleman Cleverson did well attending to guests. I had good company and it was a good night but not because of any of the items I’d ordered.

I had an amazing eight night stay at St Martins Lane. The service is five stars. From the front desk to the room service staff, everyone was incredibly polite, helpful, and professional. The hotel is very well maintained. A wonderful aroma permeated the air throughout the hotel. My room was cleaned every day and spotless. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Storage space was scarce in my room but manageable. I loved the big walk-in shower in the bathroom. The location of the hotel cannot be beat. So convenient!!!! Restaurants, shops, and the best attractions that London has to offer are at the doorstep of the hotel. Everything you need is within walking distance of the hotel. Despite the central location, I heard zero noise in my room. The hotel boasts a small well equipped gym, which was basically empty every time I used it. I loved the vibe of the hotel. St Martins Lane made my trip to London enjoyable. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in London and receiving the same type of comfort and hospitality.

Amazing service and stylish hotel. Visar took care of all our needs. We love the colored lighting in the rooms, just one example of the attention to detail.
