Designer Philippe Starck conceived St Martins Lane London as a surrealist wonderland viewed through the looking glass of classic British eccentric taste. Cheeky and daring with a touch decadent, the lobby and social spaces are signature Starck style. It’s fitting that the hotel is situated in the bustling theatre district in Covent Garden - it is pure drama. Just ask the garden gnomes; this is classic London with a seriously seductive twist. Floor-to-ceiling windows at St Martins Lane pull the cityscape into each guest room, offering a dramatic perspective on the energetic city below. The Tim Andreas of Banjo design rooms evoke a sense of spaciousness and luxury by using a mix of both naturally inspired and modern materials. The overall effect is an ethereal, yet sensuous experience.

Great experience in London in a wonderful hotel! The service is perfect and the rooms are cleaned. The staff is friendly while professional. A big thank you to Fontina for her warm and professional touch- along with her team. We will definitely be back.

We had a family dinner on Saturday and I ordered the steak which was delightful! Lovely staff all round. Adan was our server and he was 11/10. Very knowledgeable and very personable!

My husband and I have been staying here for the past four years, both at the beginning and the end of our six-week trips around Europe. Since BA flies directly into LHR, this hotel has become our go-to, and for good reason. We always take advantage of their excellent luggage storage, which makes traveling so much easier. Patrick and the concierge team once organized an unforgettable birthday celebration for my husband—they truly thought of everything, from the best cake we’ve ever had to fantastic restaurant reservations. One year, we made the mistake of trying another hotel at the start of our trip, but never again—nothing compares to the care and service here. Phil, in particular, has been a constant over the years. He always greets us with a smile and remembers the details, like exactly how many pieces of luggage we’ve left in storage. This morning, thanks to him, we avoided major delays. With the tube strike and road closures, he arranged a pre-booked taxi to Heathrow that got us through when traffic was at a standstill. This hotel consistently makes our travels smoother and more enjoyable. We’re so grateful to have found it—it’s truly a gem.

Great spot for a London break. A calm oasis in the middle of the west end. Very well looked after by friendly, professional staff, but a special mention for Vi who helped make it a very special occasion for us.
