Beautifully restored and brimming with 5-star luxury, the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London provides a truly unforgettable experience. Behind the fairytale façade, that Sir George Gilbert Scott fashioned for the Midland Grand, lies a hotel that will exceed your every expectation...blending Victorian splendor with modern style and service.

I I stayed at this hotel for three nights in February. To be fair, there are only a few objective positives — so let me start with those. The main advantage is the location. Being directly within St Pancras station makes it extremely convenient for public transport. You’re perfectly connected, and the station offers plenty of shops — from groceries to clothing — so you’re well covered in that regard. Now to the reality. The biggest issue for me was the overall condition and hygiene. The carpets in the rooms are extremely dated and visibly worn. The mirrors were dirty. The towels had stains on them. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel at this level. The property may have historical charm, but charm does not excuse poor cleanliness standards. As a business traveller, I need practicality, basic comfort, and above all, hygiene. That standard was not met. Secondly, the layout is astonishingly poor. Every time you walk from the impressive lobby and reception area to your room, you must pass the kitchen area — and the entire corridor smells strongly of food and grease. The odor is so unpleasant that I genuinely dreaded returning to my room each day. This is not a one-off issue; it’s a structural flaw that every guest inevitably experiences. In short: great location, impressive lobby — but completely undermined by outdated facilities and unacceptable hygiene standards. I will not be staying here again.

Just back from an incredible stay at this iconic hotel, and it truly feels like stepping into a piece of Victorian history. The building is breathtaking—originally opened in 1873 as the Midland Grand Hotel, with its stunning Gothic architecture, red-brick façade, ornate ceilings, and grand staircase that make you feel like you’ve walked onto a film set.The location couldn’t be better: it’s literally attached to St Pancras International station (perfect for Eurostar to Paris or beyond), right next to King’s Cross, and with easy access to the Underground (multiple lines), buses, and trains. You can walk to so many central spots, and getting around London or to/from airports is effortless. What really made the stay special was the staff—they’re incredibly professional, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone from check-in to housekeeping went above and beyond. But special shout-out to Magdalena: she made me feel truly special from the moment I arrived. She remembered my name throughout my stay, gave fantastic personalised recommendations and even surprised me with a thoughtful touch. That kind of attention turns a great hotel into an unforgettable experience. The rooms are elegant with classic Victorian touches—beautiful details, comfortable beds, and a real sense of grandeur. The common areas, bars, and restaurants (like the Booking Office) add to the charm, and the overall atmosphere is luxurious yet full of character. The only downside for my taste was the lack light, but honestly, it fits perfectly with the classic, atmospheric vibe of the hotel; it adds to that old-world palace feel rather than detracting from it. If you want bright, modern, and minimalist, this isn’t it—but if you love heritage and elegance, it’s spot on. In short: if you’re after a historic hotel with unbeatable location, top-tier service (huge thanks again to Magdalena!), and that special timeless charm, this is the place. I’d return in a heartbeat and recommend it wholeheartedly. 10/10 for anyone who appreciates London’s grand past.

Well Spice up your life with the greatest cocktails in town. Lovely atmosphere, the décor is also super cool and there is a nice outdoor garden. And of course if you are a Spice Girls fan like me, you must take a picture on those stairs where the famous "wannabe" song was filmed :))

We love this hotel! We have stayed here before but not for 4 years or so. The location is perfect as it is connected to St. Pancras station and beside the Underground and Kings Cross station. The staff are excellent and the rooms are plush and comfortable. The "Ticket Office" lobby/bar area is beautiful and a perfect spot to eat. We had one minor hiccup at dinner and the Maitre d' resolved it right away. This is not an inexpensive hotel but the service was excellent and staff kept all the promises they made to help us catch an early flight. We highly recommend and will be back.

I have stayed in over 50 London hotels in the past 30 years of working back and forth between London and NYC and this is my favorite of all of them. It is as historic and charming as Claridge's, as chic as the Edition and more welcoming than both of them. The location is perfect if you have things to do in several parts of London. Almost everything is one direct rail or tube line away, even Paris.
