Reviews for St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London

internet has been down April 4-May 24 and shrug their shoulders.

Stayed at Marriott Pancras April 4 the internet was 100% non-functioning. Happened again on May 12 and May 16. Was informed it would be down until May 24. As a Bonvoy member and at $600 a night this is an utter joke. Keep in mind i stay at Marriotts 4-7 days a month. The last night I got the worst room in the hotel that may have been worth $50/night as it was solar to a hostel room. I didn’t complain about the internet the first two nights. As they know I’m a business traveler who books far in advanced they could have easily directed me to one of their other properties like Marble Arch in paddington. Utterly the worst hospitality experience from an international brand I have ever experienced. Do not stay here so many other options in Kings Cross. The management team at this site, the CEO of Marriott have entirely blemished their brand promise, inconvenienced business travelers, have been sheepish with this issue, and entirely exposed their front desk to a maelstrom of irate customers. Unfortunate lack of courtesy and professionalism in an iconic building and location. Please do not stay here, trust me they need to get their act together or be honest.

It’s a truly lovely and remarkable place Felt like I was on a holiday in a classy world of old, it felt rich and luxurious Breakfast was a wonder for the eye as well, love the fact you can put 2 fully opened pieces of luggage side by side on the window sill

One off the bucket list

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Fabulous room, and on our ‘bucket list’ for ages. Amazing hotel, reception staff were unbelievably helpful. Only moan is a small one, the sign said wait here and in the end we had to go to reception to get seated for a glass of wine, that said, the waiter was again amazing. Food and staff in restaurant were great but we were put next to the DJ desk and the music that started later was monotonous and irritating so we left earlier than planned just to get away from that. However we sat in bar by reception and had a great time. The taxi was booked for very early next morning and all went well. Really pleased we did this for Hubby’s 60th birthday and YES we would do it again in a heartbeat.

I really expected better

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Four friends. We don’t see each other very often so we were looking forward to a spa day with afternoon tea. The spa is ok, but small and crowded. We had to share beds in the relaxation room, and there is only enough space in the changing rooms for 2 or 3 people at a time. Also - no towels by the pool, and indeed nowhere to be found without asking. We had afternoon tea booked at 4.30pm. By 5.30pm we had no food. When I enquired of the waiter I was told “This is not my problem”. When they finally came, the sandwiches were lovely, if a bit uninspiring. Same for the scones. There were only enough cakes for three of us but that was of no consequence - there was enough food all told. We appreciated the free drinks given by way of an apology. But I kind of think if you are paying £200 (EACH!) for spa and afternoon tea, you are entitled to expect better.
