About the Hotel

Good Hotel London is a re-designed platform located right on the water and offering views over the river Thames and city of London. From the outside, it looks like a giant, black container, with green roof and small windows. Inside, however, the design and atmosphere encourage groups to sit, eat and chat together. The reception is glued with a bar, and a library in one big lounging area. The hotel's look is different to others because its offers training and jobs to long-term unemployed people in the local community. The hotel rooms range between a cozy and a roomy and boasting a smart layout and contemporary aesthetics.

One night stay for concert in Hackney

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 16 hours ago

Located close to public transport options which made it a good choice for a one night stay exploring London and attending a concert. We booked through Trip.com and got a good deal so very happy with the service we received including a free upgrade to a waterfront room.

Lovely hotel and amazing story!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 19 hours ago

I lived in London for 10 years and still work in the city once a week. We needed somewhere to stay overnight for a gig at The O2 to save the late night trek home and given we weren’t going to be in the room much we set our sites on a budget hotel - Premier Inns etc. I was so pleased when I found Good Hotel - it’s a really nice floating boat hotel in a great area (short hop on cable car next door to The O2) with a Tesco nearby and some good restaurants/bars (the pizza at the bus next door was fab). Very comfortable bed, lovely view out the window, and just a nice vibe everywhere (there’s a rooftop bar and a restaurant on site). Then when you read about the social purpose of the hotel - each room named after a child that it’s helped with a picture of them inside - and a portion of each stay helping another, why would you stay anywhere else (around this price bracket)?

The Trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

It's an amazing place, you get to see the cable cab, O2 Arena, Sunburn Yatch, the birds at the park, Excel London, the floating hotel, the train stations, the water activities and sports, the view from the cable cab is extremely beautiful etc.

A sanctuary of calm and relaxation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

This was our second stay in a waterside room. You feel instantly relaxed and calm as you enter the spacious reception and bar area. The rooms are small but are cleverly designed to provide you with everything you need without feeling cramped. The beds are very comfortable and the room temperature was just right for a great night's sleep. The restaurant menu is limited but was very good and we enjoyed drinks on roof terrace. The breakfast selection was really nice. The staff are brilliant - relaxed but very attentive and helpful. We love the ethos of this place and the good work the organisation does around the world - take some time to read about this in their literature. This is a gem of a place particularly if you are visiting the Excel or the O2 - the Excel is about 5 minutes walk and the cable car to the O2 is just a few minutes walk along the dock. If you come by car, try parking at the Excel and then walk to the hotel.

Great for ExCel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Have stayed here once before, and find it very handy for the ExCel - I left it late to book, so it was expensive, but has everything you need and cannot fault it. Had to leave early so didn't get breakfast. Would book it again as location is excellent
