A 19th-century beauty meets the London of today: that’s what you’ll find at Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel. From the outside, the landmark building, which occupies a full block along the eastern side of Russell Square in Bloomsbury, looks every bit the part of grande dame. Inside, though, contemporary interiors beckon the discerning traveler to settle in and stay a while—Negroni (or two) in hand. Live like a Londoner on Russell Square. With one foot in the city’s past and another in its present, our Bloomsbury location combines British creative heritage with modern amenities.Presiding gracefully over Russell Square, with a stylish restaurant, Champagne and afternoon tea lounge, a cafe, destination cocktail bar and gym, our 334-room hotel turns every event into a memorable occasion. With a nod to 20s glamour and British irreverence, such as the Kit Miles cushions depicting our resident dragon, Lucky George, each luxuriously styled bedroom by Tara Bernerd & Partners beautifully reflects the rich history of our iconic hotel. Uniquely Kimpton in-room extras include a mug featuring George the dragon and yoga mat to help you feel at home.

Stayed at this impressive and historic property directly across from the Russell Square and ube station. Luggage was swiftly taken to hotel check-in desk, where we were met by Angela K., in charge of Guest Relationships. She immediately acknowledged our IHG status, and more importantly, our wedding anniversary celebration! The hotel staff was very attentive and delivered us to our room - complete with anniversary champagne and sweets. Breakfast was included in our stay and was exceptional! We can't say enough about the helpfulness of both Angela and her colleagues! The room was meticulously appointed and extremely clean with luxurious linens.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Every detail is stunning. Location is decent and walkable to shops and restaurants, although a bit of a hike to other spots worth visiting. Worth the stay for the hotel itself as it is truly beautiful inside and out.

We stayed here as a family ahead of the London Marathon. We had 2 family rooms which were lovely. Nice beds, bathroom, shower products. Breakfast was a bit slow but that was expected as it was busy. The food was tasty and hot. Staff were friendly and happy to help. In particular Jack in the lobby was very friendly and helpful. He looked after us and was a very good rep for the hotel. Our only complaint was there was a wedding being held in the hotel and the music was so loud! It was playing right into the hotel room and we couldn't sleep. The management were very apologetic and ordinarily we wouldn't mind. Just a shame as we were up early for the race!

This is a lovely hotel with an excellent location in Russell Square. The historical connection to the Titanic is fascinating. The spaces are spacious, clean, and very well-maintained. The attention was not as friendly at first, but after that, everything went smoothly.

Excellent location for us as we were able to get the London Underground directly from Heathrow airport to Russell Square which is next door to the hotel. Room was lovely and quirky with a step up into the bathroom. Generous size room by London standards. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, coffee machine in the room and air conditioning. Staff were excellent in every department. We will definitely be back.
