Kimpton Fitzroy London

My husband and I both loved staying at The Fitzroy. The property is beautiful and has a wonderful atmosphere. We really loved the design and decor of the hotel and their different outlets – Fritz’s and The Parlour. Everyone who we encountered at the hotel was the epitome of hospitality. Carlos checked us in and checked us out of the hotel. He had such a warm, welcoming personality and told us little tid bits about the hotel which were interesting - He really gave us a great introduction to our stay. Alex the barista in The Parlour was so personable. When we first went in there to take a peak, we commented on how beautiful the property was and he graciously showed us around to the other F&B spaces and told us what they had to offer. It was always great to see him on the mornings that one or the both of us stopped in there for a coffee/pastry. My husband became ill while we were staying there and Patricia and Joseph really helped us out in giving us options of where to go, even offered and option to have a doctor come and visit us at the hotel. They both went above and beyond to make sure that he got the right care. We are both grateful to them for that as they guided us to a place where he got proper care and was feeling better soon thereafter. As we were checking out Patricia saw us and checked in to see how my husband was doing. Her compassion and genuine care really made us feel so taken care of. I can only say wonderful things about this property and the people who made our experience so elevated. We can’t wait to return to The Fitzroy the next time we visit London.

Exceptional staff and service during every part of our stay at this stunning heritage hotel. My absolute favourite was Nisa in room service, she was so kind and humble and efficient. The breakfast team were also fabulous - Lina Maria, Catarina and Andrea were all excellent and so friendly. Jack, at the door, went above and beyond for us every single time making every outing easier and less stressful. Rosemary on phone reception had outstanding good humour and knowledge and was a joy to deal with. At reception, Sophie gave us the most excellent tips on places to go (and shop!) which exactly suited our vibe. The magnificent decor and artful, historic marble structures of this hotel are the most immediately appealing - but it’s the staff you’ll return for. A++++

Truly Memorable Stay! We were warmly welcomed at check-in by Carmen, who made us feel at home right away with her kind and detailed attention. She took the time to ensure everything was perfect for our stay, which set such a positive tone from the start. A big thank you as well to Brittany for her wonderful hospitality — she was friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. They went above and beyond to make our visit special and arranged beautiful roses and the card for my mother in law. Their care and professionalism made this a truly great and memorable stay. We couldn’t have asked for better service and can’t wait to return!

I don't normally write Tripadvisor reviews but thought this stay was worthy of the effort. Just one minute from Russell Square Tube station, no changes if you're coming from Heathrow airport, the building has an absolutely stunning exterior, with a somewhat palatial appearance. The entrance lobby is similarly impressive, with the red and black marble and subtle lighting giving a warm atmosphere. The reception staff I dealt with were really warm and welcoming, with check in being a quick and easy process. Our room was on the 7th floor overlooking Russel Square and across the rooftops beyond. It was very well appointed with a wonderfully comfortable bed, along with everything you'd expect by way of in-room amenities, and a bright, clean bathroom, including an amazing shower. Perhaps this doesn't stand out from any other review but from a personal experience, the staff really went above and beyond to make this stay memorable. I booked the Fitzroy as a surprise treat for my wife's 50th birthday, our wedding anniversary was also the same weekend. As I wanted to make the visit as memorable as possible, I contacted the hotel to arrange a few extra surprises during our stay and, having spoken to Roksana and Charlotte via e-mail to make a couple of arrangements, was met on arrival by Angela who confirmed everything for me (out-with my wife's earshot!). When we got to the room, my wife was delighted to find a cake and lovely message from Angela, with a couple of glasses of champagne arriving not long after we'd settled down. As if that wasn't enough, a second cake appeared on the day of our anniversary, again, with a very thoughtful message from Angela. Yes, the building and room were faultless, but what really made our trip special was the kindness and attention to detail of the staff, a credit to the Fitzroy, which really raised our experience to another level and made us feel that we were valued guests rather than just a number. I'd have no hesitation staying here again and have to thank all the team at the hotel for looking after us so well.
