A 19th-century beauty meets the London of today: that’s what you’ll find at Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel. From the outside, the landmark building, which occupies a full block along the eastern side of Russell Square in Bloomsbury, looks every bit the part of grande dame. Inside, though, contemporary interiors beckon the discerning traveler to settle in and stay a while—Negroni (or two) in hand. Live like a Londoner on Russell Square. With one foot in the city’s past and another in its present, our Bloomsbury location combines British creative heritage with modern amenities.Presiding gracefully over Russell Square, with a stylish restaurant, Champagne and afternoon tea lounge, a cafe, destination cocktail bar and gym, our 334-room hotel turns every event into a memorable occasion. With a nod to 20s glamour and British irreverence, such as the Kit Miles cushions depicting our resident dragon, Lucky George, each luxuriously styled bedroom by Tara Bernerd & Partners beautifully reflects the rich history of our iconic hotel. Uniquely Kimpton in-room extras include a mug featuring George the dragon and yoga mat to help you feel at home.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff and a rich history. We have been coming to the hotel for years and always have a great time. Jack with the front of house team is truly exceptional. He takes great care of to make us feel welcome and at home! He’s the reason we have been returning for years! Thank you for making us feel special!

In brief, while the “hotel” itself has a solid [heavy?] feel of hospitality, and even grandeur, the rooms are rather small, disappointing and loud [till late night you hear th music from below]. The bedding| linens| pillows are excellent. Do not ask for an “upgrade.” Do not. The staff is phenomenal *otherwise* - except for the reception (no notification of room readiness; perfunctory gestures… ?) Mr. Ben at the concierge is a gem. The best thing is the location. Value: so so… Will I return: naaahhh

Great Hotel with a lot of history - the service is great and there's just so much to see in the hotel. It was all decked out for Christmas and just looked spectacular. The coffee and croissants in the lobby in the morning were a nice touch. Staff were really helpful. Great location- would come back for sure.

I decided to treat my 10 year old son to a trip to London for assuming he passed his 11+. There was carnival fair near by and he wanted to go to. So I took him. As we walked around he saw a stall where you could win a goldfish in a bag. He was interested and asked if we could play and attempt to win one of the goldfish. All you had to do was throw 3 darts out of 4 in to a playing card displayed on the back wall. I agreed. As we looked at the row of goldfish I could see one was clearly dead. Floating at the top of the bag. I originally ignored this and spoke to the man running the stall. He said ‘’4 darts 5 pound’’ I said ok. My son said ‘’ please win the fish daddy. I’ve already named him Rupert’’ As he said this my phone alerted with a text message from my wife clearly stating ‘’he failed his 11+’’ I was fuming but didn’t want to ruin this for my son at this moment’’ I gave the man £5 and proceeded to throw 3 darts. All 3 hit the playing card and we won! Me and my son celebrated like we one the lottery! The man running the stall asked which fish would we like! I said give me the dead the one! Confused the man asked why! I said while looking at my son…’’ he failed his 11+’’. He gave me the bag with dead goldfish and I passed it to my son. My boy looked so disappointed! I said ‘’well you’ll only would of killed Rupert anyway’’. Father of the year don't you think? My boy still isn’t speaking to me. Life lessons people.
