A great stay. The doorman from I think Spain even though he has red hair. Is an absolute star for this hotel. Lovely hotel.

Seamless stay
The hotel has stunning architecture and decor with a beautiful grand staircase in the reception. Our room was clean, larger than I expected and comfortable. I wanted to give a huge thank you to Christine at reception who helped us with modifications to our reservation etc due to changing personal circumstances. She was helpful, patient and understanding and is a huge asset to the hotel! Through her competence and impeccable professionalism she made what could have been stressful a seamless experience and we were grateful!

Breakfast service appalling
Probably won’t stay here again. Aside for service, the breakfast food is almost inedible and the coffee is bizarre. The location worked for us, fortunately. Disappointing because our stays in Edinburgh are always excellent
