very nice hotel with all facilities, good food, friendly and helpful staff. Good internet and entertainment system in the room, very original sundeck with a superb view. can't say about the spa facilities since that was not included in the booking and cost extra. I'm sure it's up to specs though.

A great stay at Saccharum with 2 birthdays. Staff were great. Service was great. Not much to fault and exceeded our expectations

The design of the hotel is great, very modern. I was very impressed and willing to book the hotel once again. The garden is excellent, outdoor pool is outstanding, maybe if the water was heated somehow it would be better as the water was quite cold but that's the only thing I could be picky about. Great stay!

This resort just doesn’t deliver. The staff are lovely and clearly trying very hard. However, there’s a lot of confusion amongst the team (for example, front desk said we didnt need a reservation for the one smart restaurant, then we rocked up and were summarily turned away). The service is painfully slow, which is charming in its way but wears thin after a while. The rooms are a bit of a shocker, with the toilet and shower out in the open, with only a bit of frosted glass around each leaving very little “to the imagination”. The website says there’s a shuttle to Funchal, but it only makes one round trip a day and we didn’t meet any other guests who were able to make it work for them. Taxis into the main town come to €120 round trip, so you’re a bit stranded here. It’s a good effort, but doesn’t add up in the end

When in breakfast look for Whitney she is the best staff member pls give her he quality card she will be so pleased. She is so nice to me, and I visited Saccharum in december and I came back 5 months later and she remembered me and my name soo sweet she is!
