NH Collection Madrid Abascal

Good location, good rooms, good breakfast and restaurant but….. The great people working at NH Abascal makes this hotel the one I always come back to!

We had the joy and the pleasure of staying in the NH Collection Madrid Abascal. I cannot say enough nice things about the location, the service, the kindness and friendliness of the staff. The staff went above a beyond in pleasing and accommodating our requests. We really wanted to have dinner at Botin’s Restaurant which, according to the Guinness Book of records is the oldest continuous working restaurant. Unfortunately, when the staff at the front desk called, we were informed that reservations are required three months in advance. My granddaughter and I were disappointed but understood! On our way up to our room I asked if they would be so kind to call and see if they had any availability for the next four days that we were in Madrid and that we would take whatever was available. Shortly after we were accompanied to our room, the young lady at the front desk, which I wish could remember her name, came up to our room to inform us that we had reservations the following evening for the eight pm seating. I have no idea how she pulled this off, but my granddaughter and I will always be grateful. The staff in the breakfast area and restaurant are equally accommodating and cheerful. I wish to sincerely thank everyone at this hotel for making our stay a memorable one! This experience was repeated during our brief stay in their sister hotel NH Collection Amistad Cordoba. I really enjoyed their brunch. They had fresh fruit, jams, and different assortment of bread. They were also very accommodating of my dietary restrictions. The food and presentation was fun as well. The service from Rebeca and Lisette was top notch. Will be back again with friends.

Close to buses and Metro without being in the middle of major city attractions. Quiet, clean room and exceptional breakfast buffet.

Unfortunately, I had cash stolen from me during my stay in the hotel, and as soon as I found out this had happened, I contacted the property to take action. They advised filing a police report. I was not sure how I would be able to file a police report after leaving the country! I would assume if the hotel is worried about the safety of the residents and their reputation, they would initiate an immediate investigation.
