NH Collection Madrid Abascal

La habitación, la limpieza, el desayuno y el personal han sido maravillosos pero hago especial hincapié en Juanjo un señor de exquisita educación, cercano, resolutivo y con una disponibilidad a ayudar infinita y siempre con una sonrisa. The room, the cleanliness, the breakfast, and the staff have all been wonderful, but I would like to place special emphasis on Juanjo, a gentleman of exquisite manners—approachable, efficient, and with an endless willingness to help, always with a smile.

Perfect stay in Madrid. Spacious rooms with all the facilities. Our coffee & tea replenished daily and beds made. The foyer lobby area was decorated beautifully for Christmas and friendly welcoming staff on hand whenever you need them. I have already recommended this hotel to family and friends.

The breakfast team was outstanding in hospitality and attentativeness. Breakfast itself hat everything you would trinken of. Thanks for a geraten experience

This hotel is particularly convenient if you are having an overnight stay before going back to the airport for a flight as it is easily accessible on the metro from the airport. There is a sister hotel around the corner from here, the NH Zurbano. The latter is more modern and more geared up to the business traveller. The Abascal is more traditional and has a slightly tired feel to it. The room we stayed in was quite small (difficult to open a large suitcase in. We were starting a longhaul holiday). The bed was comfortable. There weren't sufficient customer accessible sockets to charge all our devices. The voice (Spanish and English) accessbile Alexa was a helpful touch. The wifi had a sufficiently good signal. The breakfast buffet was a standard, hotel buffet offering. It was certainly good and the service was both friendly and efficient.

I stayed at NH Collection Madrid Abascal with my family and was robbed in the hotel restaurant during breakfast, right before my flight. The restaurant was nearly empty at that time, and it seemed the staff knew we were checking out that morning. My handbag with my wallet and iPhone disappeared in just a few minutes. Although I immediately asked for help, the hotel only called the police (who never arrived) and later told me they couldn’t open their own cameras, saying it was a “public area.” Since then, the hotel has shifted all responsibility to the police and has not taken any real initiative to review the footage or help find the thief. It’s very disappointing that such an incident could happen inside the hotel’s breakfast area, especially when guests must show their room number to enter. I hope the management takes real action to protect guests in the future.
