Only You Hotel Atocha

We had a long trip to Madrid, and stayed at the Only YOU for 9 nights (as we didn't want to move around alot). The location is perfect, it is literally facing the Atocha station, if you are leaving Madrid, and has Metro stations on both sides. It is also a walking distance from the Retiro Park, the Reina Sofia Museum, and the Prado Museum. The area is relatively quiet and you don't hear much. The hotel has full amenities (an awesome reception area with 2 restaurants, a gym, a chill-out area and a great rooftop restaurant), and the staff is great, and very helpful. Shout out to Catalin, who was extremely helpful in our check-in and check-out process! The room is also a good size for 2 people, with comfortable beds, a well sized and equipped bathroom. I highly recommend that you get the breakfast option included, as the breakfast is fantastic. Definitely recommend staying here, and will probably come here again!

Amazing stay! Stayed here our first 2 nights in Spain and can’t say enough great things! Super clean and tidy, amazing beds, big spacious showers with hot water and great water pressure. The cafe in the lobby is perfect for a morning cup of coffee with a really nice rooftop restaurant/bar. We are booking another single night before we leave Madrid to have easy access to the train to Barcelona, and will book again when we come back to Madrid in the future. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and helped by an amazing staff. Everyone we talked to was so kind and we felt like we made a great choice. Elena is amazing!!! She surprised us with 2 really great tickets to the Real Madrid basketball game which was such a fun time to experience in another country! Great spot for us as it’s very close to the main metro station, train, and rental car pickup. $10 taxi rides (tip included) got us pretty much everywhere we wanted to go if we didn’t want to walk or take the metro.

We absolutely loved our stay at Only YOU Hotel Atocha — we can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel was impeccably CLEAN, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was piping hot with great pressure — just what we needed after long days exploring. The thoughtful touches made all the difference: plush towels, coffee and tea in the room, and nightly surprises like complimentary drink vouchers, a bottle of Cava, and tasty snacks. Every evening felt like a little celebration. The staff were truly exceptional — especially Mercedes and Marco — who went above and beyond with their kindness and fantastic recommendations, including The Paella Experience. And during the great blackout, when we returned from a grueling 6-hour journey back from Toledo, the hotel still had power! It felt like an oasis in a darkened city, and we couldn’t have been more grateful. Our stay was absolutely delightful from beginning to end. Would book there again without hesitation.

Mistakenly booked the Atocha hotel (was flying in to visit friends who were staying at the Boutique!) but absolutely loved this hotel. Staff welcoming, rooms spacious and beds v comfortable. Nice touches with the glass of Cava on arrival, hair straighteners in the bathrooms (more shelf space here than at the Boutique) and the fun giraffe print bath robes. Excellent location for the Golden Triangle of Museums, Retiro Park and the Botanical Gardens. Also close to the station if you are travelling onwards, and the airport shuttle, which means you can make of the most of your final hours in the city.

We made our first visit to Spain as a family. Salma and Jose at the front desk were Very helpful-ensuring we got adjoining rooms. The breakfast on rhe 7th floor was the best hotel breakfast we ever had; all the food was fresh. The hotel decor is modern and bright. Having a gym to work out in was a bonus.
