Poor Customer Service
Here’s a polished but firm version that sounds credible and measured rather than overly emotional: I had a very disappointing experience with Petit Palace Savoy Afonso. I received a confirmation for a non-refundable room rate, although I genuinely do not believe that is what I selected during booking. As soon as I noticed the issue, I immediately contacted the reservation desk to explain the situation and ask whether the reservation could simply be transferred to another Petit Palace property that I became more interested in after reading additional reviews. Rather than receiving understanding or assistance, I received multiple snippy and dismissive replies from a staff member named Valentina. I was not asking for a refund — only for flexibility within the same hotel group — so the unwillingness to help, combined with the tone of the responses, was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Customer service matters, especially when handling booking issues that are addressed immediately and respectfully by the guest. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression of the property and the brand overall. Take a look at the recent negative reviews and you will see others had the same experience with booking.

Super recommended
Great place, clean and comfortable. Location 10/10: parque del retiro across the road and puerta de Alcalá 2 blocks away. It can’t be beaten. Breakfast was superb and stuff very nice. The only suggestion is to put a sofa or a couple of chairs at the lobby.

The location of this property is 10/10! Across from Retiro, in the beautiful Jerónimos neighborhood, it offers easy walking access to the museum area, the castellano, and barrio Salamanca, The rooms are clean and comfortable and the front desk team is extremely friendly. It was perfect for my short stay!
