Urso Hotel & Spa, Madrid

Urso Hotel is worth every penny. Nice rooms, clean, neat, excellent kind staff. Simply a must try! The location is excellent as well. Justicia is one of my favorite neighborhoods, centrally located and surrounded by very good restaurants, shops, bars and markets. My last review in here was a few years ago, and Urso Hotel made do it again. Thank you to Maria, Beatriz and the nice staff at the Bar and Valet.🙌

This is a lovely hotel with a great included breakfast. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The only issue is the beds which are hard as the cement pavement. I like a firm bed. However, these beds have absolutely no give to them at all. We both woke with sore backs daily. Other than that, out stay was good.

Comfortable rooms. A double with a roll-away worked well for 3 adults. Well-located. Service was great all around. High-quality dining, including a great breakfast. Only drawback was the fitness center, which was too small.

Beautiful hotel set in a great location. We had the most basic room which was well appointed and a good size for our 2 night stay, although the shower leaked all over the floor. Wasn't an issue for us but may be for other people. The staff were very helpful and polite, especially the concierge. The public areas of the hotel are well appointed and decorated. Although we generally enjoyed our stay one little niggle we had was that after a long day walking about in the hot sun we thought we'd take advantage of the pool to cool off. The pool is in the basement behind locked glass doors. We got changed and ready to swim and then were told the room we were in (nearly £500 per night) did not qualify to allow us to swim! Not sufficiently expensive. We challenged this and were told it was in the Terms and Conditions. We have stayed in some of the world's best hotels and have never come across this before. Why then, would we even think for one second that using the hotel pool would come at a price? It never even occurred to us. Certainly we would never have checked the T&C's as we never knew charging for an upscale hotel's pool was a 'thing'. Anyway, despite this we had a lovely time. Madrid is beautiful. Just thought people should know and be aware.

We can not rave about this hotel enough! Everyone from the front door to the turndown service was professional and determined to do whatever was needed to make us happy. Our 1st time visit to Madrid was enhanced daily knowing that we would unwind with cocktails and a light bite, served by Pedro, while enjoying live piano music. Any food we tried was delicious. Pedro had tips on things to see, places to eat, and always was curious about our day. It was like staying with friends. When we return to Madrid we will definitely stay at the Urso.
