Reviews for Cheval Blanc Randheli

Unparalleled luxury in paradise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Perfection is definitely an understatement. Words can’t describe how Cheval Blanc Randheli made me feel. It was beyond an ultra-luxury hotel experience. As soon as I arrived at the Cheval Blanc seaplane airport lounge, I saw that the bar was very high but once I arrived at the property, I knew it would be a one of a kind experience. I felt like I was the only guest at a hotel made for royalty. I never felt so important, loved and cared for. From the location that is heavenly, to the staff that anticipate needs and exceed expectations, to the food and beverages that were exquisite, to the lavish design and attention to the smallest details… I also would like to take the time to give a special thank you to the following people: - The incredible Majordome Kaouther (Thank you for making all our dreams come true) - The charming lady for lunch and dinner at The White (Thank you for the great skincare advices) - The kind gentleman for breakfast at The White (Thank you for not judging me for all the dumplings I ate) - The master Chef at Diptyque (Thank you for all the delectable samples) - The talented pastry Chef at The White (Thank you for the most artistic raspberry croissant) In the world of luxury, it is the details that define opulence and this is what makes Cheval Blanc Randheli the best of the best. Thank you again for everything and keep up the good work.

The no. 1 resort in the Maldives - better than Velaa

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I have stayed at quite a number of luxury resorts in Asia that offers dedicated butler service, and I can say that Cheval Blanc ranks the overall best when both hard product and soft product are considered. I would like to give my compliment to the staff at the resort: - Fary (airport ambassador): she helped handle everything for me on arrival at Male international airport and the seaplane terminal. She was polite and handled everything professionally and put me at ease throughout the process. Because of her, this was my most positive airport lounge experience that I have ever had. - Gasim (butler / majordome): He was always ready to assist me whenever possible. He was thoughtful, and proactive. He anticipated my needs throughout the stay to ensure it was perfect - Mode (the F&B manager) who was friendly and helpful A few minor issues during the stay: - After 10:30 am the White restaurant was relatively busy and the staff were busy too, so sometimes the food would take longer to arrive. On 17 Nov, at breakfast I ordered the makimono roll with avocado, but instead a dish of makimono roll with raw fish arrived wrongly. As the food took a while to come and I was in a hurry to leave and check-out, I did not ask the staff to change the dish and just left. Actually I have stated that I do not eat completely raw fish in the guest questionnaire before my arrival, so if the staff really remembered my preferences, they should be able to know that a dish of makimono roll would not be what I ordered. But this was very minor in the grand scheme of things - The snorkelling equipment was complimentary for guests to borrow to use , but the one with a full mask (instead of just a mouthpiece ) was not. Given the price point of the room rate your team is charging, it would be better if the one with a mask is also complimentary - A few months before arrival, I emailed the reservation team and asked for some special arrangements on the butler service. They responded that the request can be arranged as long as I have them advance notice before my arrival. So two weeks before my arrival , I e-mailed them again to tell them to arrange this. But they blamed me for not giving them advance notice and said I should inform them one month before arrival. However during the initial email conversations, they never told me I should email them at least one month before my arrival. So I felt like they blamed me for something that they should not blame me (as they never told me this in the first place!) - Email by the reservations team took a while to respond , usually. Overall, despite some minor hiccups, I agree that the entire guest experience is really well-designed, and it is evident that a lot of thoughts have been put into the service flow. After staying here, I moved to Velaa private island (often regarded as the 2nd best luxury resort in the Maldives), and cannot help but notice the significant drop in quality (both hard and soft products) compared to Cheval Blanc - the service at Velaa was really unpolished. In short, after this stay I can say that though Cheval Blanc is really expensive, it is unquestionably the no. 1 luxury resort in the Maldives - the competitors are not even close to it.

Bliss in Paradise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Wellness solo retreat to celebrate another year around the sun. Private accommodations w/lap pool looking out to the sea exploding with colors of emerald, azul, calming Morocco blues and the occasional fleeting rainbow. Service as are grounds are impeccable and maintained by 325 employees for a maximum of 100 guest property wide. I was one of 7 do to a weather drama, very serene and quiet. The highlight for me was my personal Valet and the Spa-no ordinary Spa. Whisked away by boat across the island to an oasis of beauty and bliss. All my services were luxurious by expert therapist (Tran, Amelia, Sara, Sadhana and Nai). Kaoutherchevalblanc was my constant 24/7 island assistant who is bright, engaging, super friendly and anticipated my needs and wants on every level. Astounding property and service. My only concern, stating they are a green “area” is they have jet skis-not many but even the 4 were completely surprising in such a tranquil environment. For me it was a negative. Definitely a first class operation-

Heaven on Earth

This was the single best hospitality experience of our lives!!! We are world, travelers, and have been fortunate enough to have been able to experience some of the finest resorts and hotels in the world during our 30+ years of travel. However, Cheval Blanc Randheli eclipsed them all both in its level of service and absolute beauty. Every member of the staff understood the truly meaning of hospitalty and made us feel special. We absolutely never in our entire stay heard the word “no “. The General Manager Laurent keep popping up everywhere greeting you like a host in his own home. Our Butler Rio was at our call and no task was impossible. The spa was the must spectacular we have ever seen with massages outdoor overlooking the water, followed by cold plunge and hammam were heavenly. We were in fitness mode and were thoroughly relaxed with our outdoor yoga. We also worked out daily in the perfectly equipped fitness facility (of course over looking beach) and had some great Pilates classes The food options for a fairly small resort, were incredibly extensive . Each meal was delicious and servicing impeccable. This was highlighted by our private, barbecue and outdoor movie night! Now to our villa! We were in an island, Villa, which was huge and felt like our own private home. It was The single most beautiful, elegant comfortable designed hotel room/Suite/Villa we have ever experienced! Confession: I’m in the hotel business and a very demanding guest. This is my first Tripadvisor review. The experience was so special and incredible that I felt compelled to share it. We can’t wait to go back!!
