We chose The Ritz-Carlton Maldives for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation we could have possibly had. The service here is truly unmatched and without question the best hotel experience we have ever had in our lives. Their biggest priority is your happiness, and they will genuinely move mountains to make sure you feel taken care of. Any moment that required attention was handled with incredible care and professionalism. Every interaction made us feel valued and heard. Being greeted by our first names everywhere we went made the experience feel incredibly personal and special. What truly sets this resort apart is the people. Every single staff member we encountered, even those not named below, was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The staff are not only exceptional at what they do, but they are genuinely happy, kind, and passionate about creating unforgettable experiences. That warmth is felt from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. We arrived at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives on the 14 December as part of our honeymoon and never wanted to leave! It was truly the most magical and unforgettable stay. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations and made our honeymoon incredibly special. We were lucky enough to experience both an overwater villa and a beach villa, and both were absolutely stunning in their own way. The overwater villa offered breathtaking views and that iconic Maldivian experience of clear blue oceans and easy access to snorkel. While the beach villa was equally impressive, with an amazing space, clean beaches, privacy, and a beautiful connection to nature. A very special thank you goes to Sabah from the reservations team, who after giving us a tour and seeing how impressed we were with the property, kindly allowed us to stay in a beach villa. He also arranged a late checkout for us, which made such a difference as we had a late flight to Singapore for the next stop of our honeymoon. This level of thoughtfulness and flexibility truly made us feel valued and cared for. One thing that truly sets The Ritz-Carlton Maldives apart is the exceptional level of service. The service you receive here is simply incredible — every single member of staff, without exception, delivers the same outstanding standard of care. From small, thoughtful gestures and treats to seamless attention to detail, it’s unlike anything we have experienced before. The consistency across the entire resort is remarkable, and it genuinely makes such a difference to the overall trip. We have never seen such consistent service like this before and it is a credit to Oscar and his team. The food throughout the resort was outstanding also. We opted for the half-board package, which was absolutely worth it for us. Breakfast was so generous and delicious that we rarely needed lunch, and every dinner was a highlight. From the buffet to the à la carte dining, the quality, variety, and presentation were exceptional. If you have dietary requirements also every restaurant is incredible accommodating and will do their best to make something off menu/ suitable for you. I would highly recommend also attending the cocktail parties that the resort holds as it’s a brilliant opportunity to get to meet other patrons of the island and try out tasters of the food from the different restaurants. Incredible - everything was perfect! Property is fantastic and the service was also fantastic. We stayed over the water facing East which we’d recommend, no boat traffic in front of your place. It’s the sunrise side, but that was ok for us. Loved riding bikes around the ring and the entire island. Malika helped us with anything we needed and helped make the trip for us!

We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton and found the overall experience very underwhelming. The rooms felt far below the standards expected from a luxury property — lacking in both design and amenities. The service and overall resort vibe also missed the luxury touch entirely. , it feels extremely overpriced compared to other premium resorts like waldorf astoria or soneva jani. Definitely not worth the price for what it offers. Stayed at almost 20 maldives hotels! Ritz is worst

This is our 4th stay at the Ritz, and we still love it as much as we did the first time we stayed here. Over the years, the resort has gained a lot more greenery and become lush, a welcome change that makes walking along the main path through the island much more enjoyable under the intense Maldivian sun. The overwater villas are just as stunning, the views from, and also of, them never getting old. We were also extremely happy to see familiar faces all across the island; the hospitality and service from the staff remains something that keeps us coming back year over year. We loved the service, conversations, and also masterful sand art creations (which we looked forward to each night), by our Aris Meeha this year, Ford (thank you so much). We'd also like to thank Naufal from La Locanda for always remembering and granting us our little breakfast wishes over the years. We had a lot of fun and great conversations as well with Shugar, Shafraz, Isko, Yogi, Naseem, and Chef Abhay from La Locanda, Azzam and Ahnaf from Summer Pavilion, as well as Samuh from Eau Bar. We also want to thank the Beach Shack team for presenting us with a special pen to keep (and to sign the bill with, of course =) The spa team was also fabulous as always. We enjoyed very much working with Fon (best Thai massage ever, thank you), Septi, Ari, Vijeta, and Ayu. Throughout our stay, our villa attendant Shiyan and team also helped make our space constantly clean, tidy, and well stocked. We also enjoyed meeting and chatting with Ice again, who helped our friends in previous years. We didn't get to see Pako, our Aris Meeha from before, this time; we hope he had a good break! Last but not least, we also appreciated very much the help by Asmi on the boat transfer, and from Yaseen at the airport, who kept us company and gave us a lot of useful information during a (not so brief) check-in outage, thank you.
