Amazing time spent at the beautiful Gaia Resort in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Highlights of the trip included getting to know the Hospitality Team - our concierge Alex was available 24/7 to assist us in navigating and arranging all details of our day. The resort has more of a private villa feel. This was my first visit to Costa Rica and having Alex and the team available enabled us to settle in quickly, relax and enjoy this beautiful country!

We just came back from spending 4 nights here. I will start with the positives the service was impeccable. They give you a personal concierge and we got Alex. Alex was incredible he booked everything for us and made things so easy. He was wonderful to us and made us feel like VIPs!!! He’d go out of his way for us - when we made dinner reservations he automatically booked taxis for us. Now the cons the hotel itself is so so the rooms are big but need major upgrades. Our shower was in the tub and would flood the bathroom each time we showered. The pool was always dirty. It it wasn’t for Alex I’d give a lower rating.

Alex, our concierge at Gaia Resort, was the most attentive and welcoming host ever. Alex went out of his way to explain to us that whatever we needed would be possible at Gaia. The entire welcome visit at the front office, as well as our resort tour experience at Gaia was simply beyond expectations. I am so very grateful for Alex’s expertise and knowledge. It’s so important to understand that to truly learn about Costa Rica, you need to immerse yourself in the true culture of the area, and Alex helped us tremendously through this process. Pura Vida. Jose made our trip absolutely amazing. He took care of us from the second we arrived until packing an early morning breakfast for us on the day of our departure. To come to such a beautiful hotel and have a personal concierge as great as Jose made our stay truly amazing. The hotel was also luxurious and beautiful with great food and amazing views. We also absolutely loved our Suite with balcony overlooking the ocean. Definitely would recommend. Pura vida! -Brian and Kailey

No doubt the view was outstanding but the food, not so much. It was overpriced and pretty basic and for the most part, most of our group didn't finish what they ordered. The ambience is outstanding but the staff was having an off night and service was less than attentive. The bar upstairs is a mess -- very few table or chairs, weird set up and only one small bar with one bartender to try to manage everyone up there. Not our best evening ...
